Water Canyon Cliffside Campsite

Pitch your tent at Water Canyon Cliffside! The Campground is within a mile drive or walk to the trail head to Water Canyon Hike and Squirrel Canyon Hike in Hildale, Utah. Water Canyon is directly behind Zion National Park and only a 45 minute drive! (There is no physical address for our campground. The best way to find it on a map is to find Water Canyon Road in Hildale, Utah. Travel .9 miles from the beginning of the road.)

Our six regular campsites and one canvas tent site all offer stunning views of the Canaan Mountains. The campsites offer secluded wilderness camping experiences. Each sight includes many indigenous trees and plants, campfire, picnic table, and tent spaces. The views, hike, and nearby attractions are spectacular. There is one  restroom, but no water facilities on our campground. However, 1 mile away, Maxwell Park provides fresh spring water. Please pack out your own trash.

Campsite #1 We have changed the location of campsite 1.  It is now located at the top of our campground road. Hooray! Tucked back in a private little location.  Also has 1-2 tent spots.  Allows for 1-2 parking spaces. 

Campsite #2 is located just as you pull into the campground past the cable gate. It is large enough for 3 tents with one car parking. Additional parking at entrance if needed.

Campsite #3 is just up the road a little. You park and cross over a small wooded pathway and take your first right. We call this one the Peninsula. You will have to book it and see why. It will accommodate 2-3 tents with one parking space. Additional parking at entrance. (Tip: If you have two groups and want to be able to gather together easily, we recommend booking sites 3 and 5. )

Campsite #5 is our largest campsite. It has room for 6-8 tents. If you have a larger group this is the one to go with. Park, cross the wooden pathway and take a left. Two vehicle parking spaces near the site, additional parking at the camp entrance.(Tip: If you have two groups and want to be able to gather together easily, we recommend booking sites 3 and 5. )

Campsite #6 or known as the ledge, is just up the road from #5 on your left. It has a secluded little rock ledge perfect for early morning sunrises or late afternoon sunsets. Peaceful indeed. Accommodates 1-2 tents and one parking space.

Campsite #7 feels very similar to site 6.  Just past #6 on your left. Private tent sites and also access to a lookout ledge for enjoying the scenery. Accommodates 1-2 tents and one parking space.
