Just what we wanted!
It's one step up from boondocking, but it's exactly what we were looking for and the price was right and it's a little warmer in Beaver than up the mountain. We came to ski, but the kids had a blast digging holes and looking for old bones on Vinny's property. We felt comfortable turning them loose without watching to closely. Very close to town, but not so close that you are in someone else's front yard. Vinny is super nice. He's also cleared brush now so it's obvious where to park and there is a picnic table and some solar lights.
Great little area! Close to town but yet, out in the middle of no where. You can see if someone is coming from a long ways off. Vinny and Marc were great to deal with! Huge open space and terrific views East and West. Close to the interstate but, far enough it’s not a bother at night!
Peaceful and quiet
I was able to get too see wild life on his property, like deer laying under a tree. Trying to keep cool from the sun. At night a red fox came through my camp site, my dog was barking kept me up now I I know why. Vinny showed me where to get water on his property. Very helpful.
Vinny and tin shed are wonderful!
Tin Shed is a wonderful oasis along I-15 and Vinny is a thoughtful and considerate host! He was so accommodating to my family and just very sweet. He knew that we had three young kids with us and assembled a picnic table in preparation for our arrival. The site is level, clean and has nice views. I highly recommend staying at this camp!
Easy access to i-15 and nice views
We were Vinny’s first guests and as you might expect he has some wrinkles to work out. The positives: close to I-15 suitable for through travelers, tons of space, access to meals on the way in or out, and mountain views in two directions.
The negatives: the place is well marked, but once through the gate, the camp sites are left up to you. Vinny has a working yard with lots of equipment. We orientated our van to look the other way and we had a pleasant sun set. Water is hard to find. We suggested he mark out spaces for putting your van and mark out the route to water.
Vinny is a nice guy and there’s a good chance you’ll meet him since he’s hard at work.
