SITE SPECIFIC: This tent is equipped with a very comfortable made up queen sized bed. There is storage chest inside provided with cookware, dishes & utensils. You can cook on the cowboy camp stove which includes a cooking grate as well. Lay out under the dark sky on the large outdoor star gazing couch, and enjoy the romantic ambiance of the fairy lighting inside and outside of the tent.

WHAT TO EXPECT: There are several hiking trails in the area as well as bicycling & 4 wheel drive trails on BLM (public land). This IS the Wild, Rustic, Dirty Desert, not for Everyone.  This is Camping and keep in mind this is a rugged camping experience not for the faint at heart. The desert is Hot in the summer and cold in the winter, the weather is Unpredictable and you May experience our Wild storms...Monsoon season runs from July-August which is amazing if you are into photography. Be sure to bring proper gear for the rain (if we get any). You may hear coyotes, see spiders, experience the annoying desert gnats at certain times of the day during the hotter summer season. You will want to bring bug spray, but if you forgot we do sell it in our camp store. If you stay with us you will get the experience of desert camping, wild, raw and rugged. It is an amazing experience to be had, with beautiful views and the feeling of freedom that is hard to find in more civilized and populated locations. The rocks nearby are kid friendly, great for climbing and taking amazing photos of our fantastic views and gorgeous sunsets.

BATHHOUSE: There is a Bathhouse with Showers and Flush Toilets. Showers are with a Token and must be purchased during store hours. The bathhouse is shared with other campers and gets dirty. We are surrounded by red dirt. Toilets get clogged, this happens in public bathrooms. It is cleaned everyday. The bathhouse is operational while under construction.

Booked The Sky Dancers Den for 5 days, including my birthday. The whole experience will forever hold a special place in my heart, and my memories! I highly recommend this place, tent and RV sites were also available, and the outpost store had everything one might need. Also very refreshing to be able to rinse off at the bathhouse after a long day hiking in Canyonlands National Park. Amber our host was beyond welcoming and we had many, many great conversations during our visit. Will definitely be heading back soon!

A completely magical night. So close to Canyonlands, but also has its own incredible hiking spots and sunset views. The hosts were all wonderful, the bed was so cozy and the stargazing couch was an additional gem, not to be missed. Can’t wait to return!

We had a fantastic experience in the sky dancers den. The tent was nice and big. Plenty of room to stand upright. Very quiet and peaceful and amazing views. Also the bed was very comfortable and also nice and warm. Be aware the only way to warm your food is by building your own fire and that there are only some pre packed food options.

Great location, great tent and great hosts. There's some special magic going down at the Needles Outpost. Very quiet with great views and right outside the park.

The Outpost was awesome, and very well organized. The hosts were fantastic, and our stay was perfect. The location couldn't be better for an adventure in the Needles. Two thumbs up for the camping spots and campground setup. We'll be heading back for sure.

This was our first experience glamping and it was wonderful.
Beautiful secluded location, 1 mile outside the park. Amber has thought of everything, we were there for a big spring storm and were so cozy.
We especially loved that Amber had quiet hours, so important when communing with nature.
We will be back.

The skydancer’s den is set away from the other sites for added privacy. We loved laying on the outdoor couch watching the sunrise, sunset and beautiful clear night skies. It’s minutes from the Park entrance which makes it easy to explore and relax between hikes

Wow! If your destination is Canyonlands NP this is definitely the way to do it. My husband and I are experienced campers but we wanted something special for our anniversary trip so we booked Sky Dancers Den at the Needles outpost. It went above and beyond our expectations.

About the site- It’s basically as close to the park as you can get without camping in the NP itself. The views and surroundings are ideal and the stars are phenomenal at night. The general store where you check in has mainly everything you could need in case you forgot anything and Amber and her husband are very welcoming and helpful in making sure you have everything you need.

Skydancers Den - absolutely beautiful and comfortable. We had a car full of camping gear but hardly had to set anything up because everything was already provided for us. The fire pit was very convenient, the table was nice and clean, and the tent itself was pristine. I saw reviews about how cold it was in the tent, but we went in November and the bed was super comfortable with so many blankets provided we were very toasty and warm. The site rules helped keep the night quiet and peaceful and we had a wonderful night’s sleep. Again- everything you could potentially need was available and I could see this working well for people who like to camp more comfortably than others.

Next time we come back to Canyonlands we are definitely staying here again!

Note: if the check in times and rules seem like a turn off- they are actually all for good reason- to keep the space the sanctuary it is and deserves to be.
