ABOUT OUR CAMPGROUND and LOCATION: The Needles District of Canyonlands National Park, (not anywhere near the Island in the Sky) visitors center is only 1.5 miles away. We are approximately 1.5 hours from Arches and approximately 2 hours from Island in the Sky.

SITE SPECIFIC: This tent is equipped with a very comfortable made up queen sized bed. There is storage chest inside provided with cookware, dishes & utensils. You can cook on the cowboy camp stove which includes a cooking grate as well. Enjoy the romantic ambiance of the fairy lighting inside and outside of the tent.

WHAT TO EXPECT: There are several hiking trails in the area as well as bicycling & 4 wheel drive trails on BLM (public land). This IS the Wild, Rustic, Dirty Desert, not for Everyone.  This is Camping and keep in mind this is a rugged camping experience not for the faint at heart. The desert is Hot in the summer and cold in the winter, the weather is Unpredictable and you May experience our Wild storms...Monsoon season runs from July-August which is amazing if you are into photography. Be sure to bring proper gear for the rain (if we get any). You may hear coyotes, see spiders, experience the annoying desert gnats at certain times of the day during the hotter summer season. You will want to bring bug spray, but if you forgot we do sell it in our camp store. If you stay with us you will get the experience of desert camping, wild, raw and rugged. It is an amazing experience to be had, with beautiful views and the feeling of freedom that is hard to find in more civilized and populated locations. The rocks nearby are kid friendly, great for climbing and taking amazing photos of our fantastic views and gorgeous sunsets.

BATHHOUSE: There is a Bathhouse with Showers and Flush Toilets. Showers are with a Token and must be purchased during store hours. The bathhouse is shared with other campers and gets dirty. We are surrounded by red dirt. Toilets get clogged, this happens in public bathrooms. It is cleaned everyday. The bathhouse is operational while under construction.

All the info was clear, directions were clear, and it was such a remote and peaceful location. Got to witness thunderstorms in the desert and unlimited stars at night. Amber is a fantastic hostess. Everything exceeded our expectations.

We loved our little glamping tent. It rained all 3 days we were there but inside the tent was perfect, warm, and dry. The surrounding area was beautiful and we loved getting to explore the park so easily.

My best hipcamping experience yet! Amber's directions were clear and helpful and she had great communication. The location is excellent in both the aspect that it's extremely convenient for exploring the Needles District of Canyonlands, as well as that it has an isolated-out-in-nature feeling. There were great amenities such as the general store she runs which includes both necessities like food and drinks, but also fun things like jewelry and clothing. There were also showers, toilets, wifi, and even gas if needed. My partner and I stayed in the "Mo'Rockn" Tent which was our first time ever glamping (as we usually rough it in a regular tent.) It was so worth it!! Absolutely beautiful tent inside and out. She keeps it very clean and stocked with everything you'll need. She throws in some extra amenities for the glampers such as fire starters, shower tokens, cooking pots and pans, comfy chairs, and more. A real cherry on top of the whole experience was getting to climb and explore the rocks that surround the camping area. We got up there in time to watch the most beautiful sunset. Another bonus—she has the sweetest little dog who loves belly rubs!
Thank you again, Amber, for such a wonderful time, if we're back in the area we'll be staying again!

I adored this solo stay! I cannot emphasize how clean the tent is for the location - it's really impressive. Amber has provided so many amenities and was such a lovely host! I had a truly wonderful time here, even though it was pushing 105 degrees. The campsite was a lovely place to come back to and watch the sun set after a long day of exploring. I really hope to come back some day with a group! The campsite is just a hop skip and a jump from Canyonlands and the drive out to Moab was a little long, but definitely doable. I actually thought I was going to spend all my time at Arches, but there is something so magical about Canyonlands, I ended up doing all my exploring there.

What an awesome campsite literally at the door of Canyon Lands National Park. Also a short drive from Moab and Arches National Park. This site gives you a remote feeling while still giving you amenities.

Amber and Caleb were excellent hosts! They were very accommodating, nice and understanding. You could tell they make a lot of effort in making sure their guests are well taken care of on their property. The tent and amenities themselves were fantastic and everything we needed was included for a cookout on the fire pit and seeing the stars. Utah is amazing in and of itself and it’s hard to say anything bad about the landscape and glorious view that you’ll be experiencing if you come here. The campground is right next to Canyonlands national park so it very convenient to coming and going from that park. Would definitely recommend to his site to anyone trying to visit around here!
