Great Spot for Family Adventure!
The area of the Needles at Canyonlands is amazing, and Amber’s campground was a fantastic place to stay! Our campsite was tucked against a large rock formation that our kids really enjoyed scrambling all over. The views were wonderful, amenities and facilities were more than adequate, and Amber’s hospitality was very kind- she welcomed us warmly and shared opinions on hikes and how to explore the surrounding area. If we are ever back in the area we would definitely stay again!

Terrific out of the way campsites!
We spent a week touring every park we could reach in the area and were at a different campground each night. Needles Outpost was our favorite by far! The views were amazing, it was quiet, and we had plenty of room to ourselves. Amber was very helpful with preparing for our visit and getting us there on time. The shop and amenities are simple but nice, and just what we needed. Say Hi to their dog Cocoa for us!

Spectacular views by Canyonlands
Amber’s spot at Needles Outpost was amazing! The views were spectacular! Loved the sites! The kids especially loved climbing on the rocks. They have a general store with a little of everything. Both her husband & Amber were friendly & accommodating. There were even a couple of trails to walk the dog or bike 1-3 miles). Options to shower were available as well. If you are heading to the Needles District in Canyonlands, I would highly recommend Needles Outpost & we will definitely stay here again!

We really enjoyed the beautiful views, especially the sunset. Amber is very welcoming and you will have most of what you need on-site. The Needles visitor centre is also very close by, so it’s a good spot to stay if you’re wanting to get hiking done around there.

Each campsite is unique, beautiful, and has spectacular view . The hosts have worked hard at making this a labor of love attending to details while keeping it pristine with a flavor of desert hipness. The hosts were very sweet and accommodating. It’s simple camping set in an etherial setting . Be prepared for a bit of a drive in but once you’re there you forget the travel.
