Site 7 - Scenic RV pads
Loved tent camping on Parker’s land. We were right on the sandy beach overlooking the reservoir. Kids had so much fun and we definitely plan to come back!

Site 6 - Scenic RV pads
Confusing to find, nothing special
Beforehand, the host wasn't responsive via the email provided. Upon arrival, the directions were confusing because 1) the camp is called "Site #: Scenic RV Pads " There was no signage for "Scenic RV Pads." 2) the directions referred to, after about a mile, there is a green gate." That was it. There were green gates before and after a mile, but they didn't go anywhere. In between was a place called "Sandy Beach" with vehicles visible, so I just had to hope that was it. I drove up to look for my site #6. Not only was there no site 6 (there were primitive sign posts reading 2-5), but "RV pads" is a real misnomer! There were some sandy areas alternatingly with partially graveled areas, so I just made a guess and parked. There were 2 other groups there and they left before the eclipse was even over bc the wind was freezing. On the other side of me was a trailer with a guy who appeared to be working there, and even he left Saturday evening. There aren't any services here bc this is basically a dirt lot used for storage and what looked like a few cabins on the lake shore. That's fine, but somehow I overlooked the perfectly good state park right next door. I failed to see what the rates were there, but probably less than what "Sandy Beach" cost but with services Zero for two on Hipcamp so far.

Site 1 - Park on the beach
Nice view with flush toilets and a shower. We went for a walk around the lake. Would stop here again.

Glamping Tent Sleeps 6
We loved it!
We loved it. It was a fun retreat, with a beautiful location, and very nice accommodations that we didn't need to set up or take down. It was conveniently located. My only concern is when I added the additional wood it was not there when we arrived and came way late in the evening. I understand things happen and so, therefore, recommend bringing your own wood at least for the first night. I certainly will recommend it and may come back again someday, if the location is needed again.

Glamping Tent Sleeps 4 #2
We stayed in one of the glamping tents for the annular eclipse. The site was beautiful and open, fantastic sunrises, sunsets, and stargazing. Even with other guests staying in the other tents, there was plenty of distance between the tents and it didn’t feel too crowded or loud. Fantastic large fire pits and a grill grating worked wonderfully for cooking dinner and staying warm on the cool nights. Bathrooms were clean and also offered cold water showers. As others have said, it’s quite a walk to the bathrooms from the tents and we ended up driving to them.
