Desert Oasis Gardens

The family was very sweet and accommodating but didn’t seem to expect us when we drove up. The woman I spoke with wasn’t present. I wouldn’t have stayed if I was alone. The property wasn’t kept up as much as I thought it would be from what I read from other reviews. All in all a great spot to rest after driving all day with help starting a fire, plenty of fire wood, and beautiful views.

If you just need a patch of land to sleep for the night, then this will be fine for you. If you desire a nice camping spot, you will be disappointed. There is no livestock on the property, as pictured in the photos. No greenery nor trees. Just barren fields to park and set up camp. There was cute log furniture and picnic table and free firewood so one plus. No privacy as the highway runs on two sides of the property.

Rebecka and her family are incredible hosts! The farm is super easy to find and is not to far from Salt Lake City!

Lots of camp sites to choose from throughout their property and each one comes stocked with plenty of wood to keep everyone warm all night.

If I’m ever in the SLC area again I wouldn’t hesitate to stay again!

Big plus that you get to hang out with their goat named Goatee who is just a friendly as your moms lap dog.

Host family was very nice and attentive. The sites had a beautiful view and were all stocked with firewood!

Overall good campsite. Family was friendly and greeted us as we set up. Campsites were close to host’s house. There was a buzzing noise from a circuit box on property that didn’t go away. Large fire pit with plenty of firewood. Would recommend to anyone wanting to relax after a long day of driving.

Place was amazing stay so close to Utah lake! Family was more then helpful getting us settled in! I also recommend inquiring to see the farm! Will be back thanks for the nice time! Pet friendly also!

Beautiful place to camp with a great fire pit. Family provided firewood and was very kind and hospitable. Can easily access the Nebo Scenic loop and Burraston ponds from this location. Bring bug spray if camping in the summer months.

Tanner and April, the kids at the house were incredibly helpful. It's very peaceful out there, but at night there's some sort of transformer or generator that starts buzzing. It's not too loud, but good to be aware of. This site is pet friendly, however our dogs hated it because in the summer there is nothing but stickers and crunchy straw for them to walk on. Maybe if I could convince the pups to wear shoes they'd have had more fun. I would stay here again, but not in the summer.
