Intro: If I could camp every day of my life I'd be happiest! I work remotely, so these days I get to bounce around a lot. I'm currently heading across the country and then off to Europe.

Past trips
Bunkie in Forest Meadow
in Forested Meadow at Beach Resort, ManitobaMany options / great hosts
The Bunky at Cheryl and Noah's was on a lower part of the property & with all of the rains everything was a bit damp. So they put me in the tiny house for the same price. Which I loved and it was very gracious of them to put me in the tiny house. The property is a short walk to the beach and they have a few options to stay, so ask if one option is not available. Noah was super friendly and helpful!
Treehouse
in Collinswood Retreat, AlbertaMust stay here!
This was one of the best experiences! You must stay here, whether it’s in the treehouse, camping or in one of the other little cabins they will soon have available. Definitely do the woodfired sauna, absolutely do the meditation massage. This was the best massage of my life with an incredible view. Definitely sit around the campfire with the family and do yoga out on the cliff’s edge on the yoga platform in the morning. Go for a walk to see the wild horses! I cannot say enough good things about Tessa and her family! Thank you. thank you for such an amazing time, I could have easily stayed here a week! I made it a stop over on my way into BANFF. Yes it was a little bit out of the way, but absolutely 100% worth it!
Site 2 - In-town Private Sanctuary
in The Trail Enthusiast's Basecamp!, MontanaNot private, but mountain sunsets
Overall the venue is interesting. You can see the mountains from where you drive into the property, but it’s not as secluded as I thought. It’s open on one side to a neighborhood road so it didn’t feel very private, as it looks in the pictures. There’s a train, but that didn’t really bother me so much. The outhouse is exceptionally clean and it is nice to sit out and watch the sunset over the mountains but that is a bit away from where you’re camping. There’s also some kind of facility off to the side of the property so a lot of people park their cars in the back. Which also felt a little odd. Overall it’s a cute park like, event space, but didn’t feel very secluded or private. Maybe it’s because it’s mid May, still wintery weather and there’s not a lot of folige on the trees at the moment.
Meadow Springs Tipi and Campsite
in Secret Canyon Ranch, IdahoExtra special!
Absolutely fantastic stay! It was a bit out of my way and really in the middle of farmland. But the surrounding mountains and the sunset and the privacy was just exceptional and well worth the drive! I also loved the outhouse and the water pump, everything is really well done. Plenty of firewood, water and the kids even left me a lovely hand drawn note. Highly recommend!
Site 1 - Bellamy family farm
in Bellamy Family Farm, OregonGorgeous view and friendly family
I slept in a spot midway to the top, had a gorgeous view! It rained most of the evening so it was definitely slippery coming down. If you stay on a rainy night sleep at the bottom. But definitely take a hike up to the top and if it’s dry I’d recommend sleeping at the top spot. I also paid for some wood and fresh eggs, which were delicious. Definitely recommend!
