At about 8500' elevation on the flanks of the Sangre de Cristo mountains, you can explore local NM history and the outdoor beauty of Northern NM from this campsite. Drive east on dirt roads up the mountain and camp in the shade of pinon and juniper. The campsite has a fire pit, outdoor kitchen, and an outhouse. Nearby is Taos Ski Valley, Red River, Questa, the Town of Taos, the Rio Grande and a lot of wilderness, national forest, BLM, and national monument land.
