Croesus Canyon Camps Walk-in camp
in Lynn y B's land, TexasSecluded, accommodating, & fire pit
We were on our way to the state park with two kids and well, our ten hour drive turned into fourteen and we were not going to make in there before the park closed. I found Croesus Canyon Walk-in Camps and booked for that evening. It was everything we were looking for and some. There was plenty of space from other campers (even on Spring Break weekend), we found a very secluded walk-in camp less than 3/4 mile from our car (we don't typically car camp but there were drive-in sites as well as sites closer to parking available). The bathroom was impeccable, very clean and a sink in the desert felt like a miracle. Brandon was very friendly and helpful. There was a bit of a wind storm the first night so we were not able to have a fire but the second night we bought a bundle of wood from Brandon and had plenty of nearby kindling to get us through the evening. During the day we drove in to Big Bend National Park (about an hour) and visited the town of Terlingua for rocks, food and live music. I felt that our camp was safe and accommodating! This was an amazing trip and we will be back to Big Bend and to Croesus Canyon Camps!
