in C2T Ranch on the Saline River, KansasWe just stayed a night at C2T Ranch on January 14th, so right in the middle of winter. My family and I were taking our camper out West and just wanted to have reliable campgrounds each night since it was winter, and we had a 1-year-old and dog with us. Chad kept in great communication with us providing wonderful directions and making sure we knew there was some weather coming in. Although we didn't get to meet Chad + Cynthia in person because they had prior commitments, they provided very good instructions to the campground and we even arranged to purchase some of their meat which they left in a cooler for us at the site. Unfortunately, the weather was not ideal with high winds and snow so we didn't get to take in the full beauty of the Ranch but from what I could see on our drive in at sunset, it was stunning. Would love to come back in the summer months and would highly suggest staying here either way!
Hideaway Ridge at SVRanch
in Sudden Valley Ranch, MissouriWe just stayed a night at SVRanch on January 13th, so right in the middle of winter. My family and I were taking our camper out West and just wanted to have reliable campgrounds each night since it was winter, and we had a 1-year-old and dog with us. We arrived after sunset but Randy kept in great communication with us along the way, even sending recommendations of where to grab dinner before we arrived. Once we arrived, he showed us how to get to our campground and gave a little history of the farm. Super friendly! The campground was one of the best we've stayed at before. They had solar lights leading to and inside the outhouse, which was extremely nice. They also had a rock fire pit, a big table, and an area with a first aid kit, guest book, etc. We had to leave around sunrise to keep going West but the farm was absolutely beautiful as we drove out. Would definitely come back and stay here again!
Buckeye Lake Winery
in Buckeye Lake Winery, OhioWe just stayed a night at Buckeye Lake Winery on January 12th, so right in the middle of winter. My family and I were taking our camper out West and just wanted to have reliable campgrounds each night since it was winter, and we had a 1-year-old and dog with us. I knew the winery wouldn't be open but the owner, Tracy, was in great communication with us along the way. When we arrived, he poured us some of their wine and it was extremely good. To be honest, I was expecting it to be a sweet wine but he grows all his grapes in Napa and that shows 100% in the wine. We shared a few more glasses of wine with him as he showed us around the winery, even though they were closed! After purchasing a bottle of wine, we headed to the campground which had everything you'd need. I would definitely love to come back during the summer and enjoy an evening at the winery with a short walk back to your campground, maybe leaving the 1-year-old at home ;) Would recommend it for sure.
