Thank you for our amazing hosts, Kathleen and Wayne, for the fantastic experience. Their ranch is huge with an amazing lake view, with lots of old trees with spanish moss hanging off of them, with beautiful horses and other animals grazing, some orange trees and plenty of secluded spots to choose from for a camp site.
We arrived late afternoon, the ranch was easy to find. We were greeted by Kathleen who instantly took us around to pick our camp spot. We chose a beautiful, private fenced in area not too far away from our hosts’ house and while we were setting up camp Kathleen and Wayne helped us with the fire and brought us a picnic table and a trash can. After setting up we were able to enjoy the amazing sunset and a peaceful evening with all the nature sounds. We spent 5 nights there and we truly enjoyed every minute of it. We took our 2 pups and they also had their best time with being outdoors all day. Very friendly, kind, caring and easy going hosts. They made us feel like that we were part of their family, but at the same time they respected our privacy. We had access to flush toilet, shower, water, electrical outlets and a grill which we greatly appreciated.
Overall it was an amazing scenic location to disconnect from the hustle and bustle of the city life and a true retreat. we spent most our days at the campsite, but seemed like the area is also great if someone looking to spend their time more actively. We are already planning our next stay....
