The cottage is a destination in and of itself. It’s so peaceful and picturesque that you can spend days just enjoying the woods and river. I’ve brought a group out there twice now and will likely be back again since we always have so much fun. The kayaks, paddle board and canoe are well maintained and traversing the Shenandoah River is the highlight of our trips.
Steve, the host, is friendly, very considerate and accommodating. He’s as available or as unobtrusive as you need him to be.
It’s no surprise to me that this spot has won Hipcamp awards. It’s everything you could want in a nature escape.
