Hip Farm in the Hills Site
in Hip Farm in the Hills Site, WisconsinCamping with roosters
The camp area was large. You definitely need AWD vehicle. Loved how quiet it was at night. Lots of birds and loved the roosters. There is a house/barn right above the camp spot, but it still felt private.
Railroad creek camp ground
in Railroad creek camp ground, IllinoisGreat camping location right next to the river. We hunted for geodes and enjoyed a nice campfire. Very quiet area. Could be cleaned up a little with junk throw about on the cliff side.
Site 31 - Campsites on Horse Ranch with Creek
in Von Holten Ranch Century Ranch, MissouriVery nice camping area. We had campsite #31 in the way back near the Cow pastures. We arrived early in the spring, so had the place to ourselves. A bit noisy at night dur to a barking dog from 12a.m. to morning. Loved the horse walking trail to the river. Heated and clean bathroom/shower house. Very nice host. No horses there when we stayed.
Golden Vally Camp 🏕
in Golden Vally Camp 🏕, MissouriCamping on the prairie..
We loved camping in the huge cattle pasture. We camped in the far back area near the trees/deer stand. The grass was soft and wonderful to walk on. We walked the property, cows off in the distance, beautiful sunset. Wish we would have brought fishing poles as the man-made pond was stocked with a variety of fish (pond is a work in progress). We were able to find enough dead branches near to have a nice small fire. No firepits, but we were told could camp and set up anywhere.
