Forest Camping
in Maple Creek Ranch, CaliforniaGreat basecamp for lassen volcanic
Ron was a great host and our two night stay was quiet and peaceful in the forest. The drive to and from Lassen Volcanic NP was a bit long but scenic. The pond and surrounding area was very nice to explore and enjoy at the end of our day. The flush toilet was very clean as was the campsite and surrounding areas.
BaseCampByBo!
in BaseCampByBo!, CaliforniaWonderful basecamp for yosemite np!
We can highly recommend Basecamp by Bo. Jarrett is a wonderful host who is quick to respond to any questions you may have. His place is amazing and the views were outstanding. The port-a-potty was very clean and his outdoor shower worked great once we figured it out with some additional help from Jarrett.
Death Valley Stargazing Camp
in Death Valley Stargazing Camp, CaliforniaGood basecamp for death valley np
The location is good for exploring Death Valley NP and the surrounding area. It was a quite place with ample spacing between sites. The fighter jets fly byes were awesome. The port-a-potty was in need of service and was not clean.
Jackrabbit Hideaway
in Jackrabbit Retreat, CaliforniaGreat basecamp for joshua tree np!!
Our stay at Jackrabbit Hideaway was awesome. With the whole place to ourselves and the closest neighbors far away, we enjoyed the peace and solitude. Follow Blake’s directions and try to arrive before dark. Clean and serviced port-a-potty at site. I can highly recommend staying at Jackrabbit Hideaway.
Five Fours Corral Campsite
in Five Fours Camp in Three Rivers, CaliforniaGreat basecamp for national parks!
The Five Fours Corral Campsite made an excellent basecamp for our visit to both Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks. The host’s suggestion to also drive up the Dry Creek Road to see it in bloom was amazing. This Hipcamp is awesome! They had added nice touches such as a covered picnic table, BBQ, water at site, flush toilet, hammock and access to a deck to relax and take in the surrounding views. The driveway is narrow and steep with sharp turns but we were able to get our Ford F-150 with our roof top tent up to the site. Great Hipcamp and great hosts!!

We really enjoyed our stay at Clyde’s Hipcamp. Clyde was very responsive to our texts and came out to greet us shortly after we arrived. Lots of primitive camping options to pick from and the views are amazing all around. We plan to return again when we are in the area. Thank you Clyde!
Black Hills Tent and RV
in Opulent Acres, South DakotaWe used Black Hills Glamping as a base came for our adventures in Custer SD area. After being on the road for 4 days the showers were AMAZING. Everything is very clean, quiet and well kept.

in Cornerstone Ranch, OregonSecluded Meadow
in Sprague River Homestead, OregonGreat basecamp in southern oregon
We setup a basecamp in the Secluded Meadow for 6 day so we could explore the Southern Oregon Area. We rode our bikes from the site to the OC&E trail, drove to Crater Lake for the day, visited Train Mountain, Collier Memorial Park and just hung out and relaxed at the site. We highly recommend ordering the bread and eggs and in fact we placed two separate orders and we were glad we did. The site was as advertised and wonderful to stay at with numerous birds and a few cows with calfs that wandered through the meadow.
