Site 3 - Paulk Park RV Park
in Paulk Park's Peaceful Pond, GeorgiaNice stopover
There were great roads all the way to where you turn off to the campground but that turnoff is a bit difficult to find at night. The road that leads to the property is Dave Sims Way, which should help greatly in navigation. Other than having issues finding the place in the dark, it's a well maintained area that was very peaceful the one night while we were there. It kind of reminded me of an old drive in theater. It's basically an empty field so there's no shade if you're looking for that. The property was as advertised and if we are going through the area again, we will probably use it as a stopover.
If you do stay here, take the city's architectural tour, it's very interesting.
RV Slip 1
in Mountain Riders Riverfront Camping, North CarolinaNice location but not isolated
I recommend Ed's RV pad but only if you're aware of the situation before you book it. Pros: Ed is a nice guy and a really hard worker and you can tell he really loves working on his property. The surrounding scenery is beautiful and it's really soothing to have the sounds of the river flowing right behind your camper.
The road just outside of the camp has a one lane bridge, so approach the property carefully. Despite the description that makes it sound like a single site, there are actually FOUR sites, squeezed together pretty tight. The other three sites may be full timers and they all had dogs that sometimes liked to bark on the middle of the night. Plus Ed is a pretty horrible communicator. The site number that was on our reservation had a rig on it when we got there, and it is apparent they had been there for a long time. We just parked in the one open site and hoped for the best and ended up being okay.
There is wifi advertised but you'll need to track Ed down for the details, and don't expect good cell service. Between the two of us, Spectrum and AT&T always had very poor reception while we were there.
So it's a very pretty spot but if you're looking to get away from people just beware that you will be surrounded by others.
RV Farm Stay, NW GA

in NW GA Farm Stay, GeorgiaGreat first hipcamp experience!
This was our first Hipcamp stay and it was such a great experience! Erin, his wife, and kids were the perfect hosts. There are good roads leading up to the camp, just follow Erins directions.
It is a very nice and level pad and we had no issues hooking up to water and electric. The farm is great and we were free to roam around anywhere on the property. We asked lots of questions about farm life and they happily answered all of our questions!
This was our first hipcamp experience and it was a great one. We really couldn't ask for any better.
