Star A-Frame Cabin, Cedar Bloom
in Cedar Bloom, OregonHighly recommended cabin!
Amazing cabin stay in Oregon! Our A-frame was clean, comfortable, and warm. The property has a ton of cool amenities (sauna, scenic showers, etc.) that came with easy directions and clean facilities. We saw some wild deer and turkeys during our stay too, and enjoyed the peaceful river on warm days. Nenah, our host, was super friendly and helpful as well. Definitely plan on coming back!
Pro tip: we didn’t read the notice about poison oak being on the property (listed on the notice board when you walk in) and picked up a rash on our ankles. Long socks required!
Got Raw Milk? Camping with Cows!
in Jersey Joy Farms Got Milk?, California5-star hosts!
Greg and his wife, Linda, were amazing hosts! They were very friendly when we arrived and showed us to our campsite, introduced us to the animals, and gave us tips on the local area. The site itself was spaced well with the others and had a table + chairs for us to use while we were there. Virtually no bugs (aside from the tiny spider here and there), which was surprising with Tippy the cow just nextdoor!
The milking experience was amazing, and even better was the milk we got to keep for morning coffee with it! Though we forgot our coffee filters, but Linda was kind enough to give us some. I can't recommend this place enough, and hope to be back someday.
Grand Canyon Glamping Piñon Yurt
in Grand Canyon Glamping, ArizonaCan't recommend this place enough!
This was our 6th trip on HipCamp, and by far the BEST one yet! Carrie + Zach are the most hospitable hosts who make sure their guests have everything the need, often going above and beyond with friendly extras like yurt heaters, stickers, and more.
The sites were super cool, and even cooler was finding out that the couple built all of the camping infrastructure themselves - kudos to Zach's sustainability focus. Before we arrived I thought that the photos would be a bit too good to be true, but the interior of the yurt was as cute as we saw online and the cleanliness of the bathrooms/shower was top-notch as well.
We'll definitely be back!

Our camping trip was great! Roger and his wife were super welcoming, offering us wine for sale upon our check-in. They gave us the lay of the land - bathrooms, shower, and campsites, and sent us off. The property was huge, with plenty of space for everyone to have their own space within their campsite. Definitely want to come back during winter/spring when everything is lusciously green :)
