Past trip
in Pinnacle Farms South, ArizonaTented on grass near lemon grove
Stayed two nights in January, wish I could have stayed longer! Very easy to find, and I could set up my tent anywhere in the grassy area, which is right next to a lemon grove. There's a communal firepit with chairs (buy wood onsite or at a nearby grocery), outdoor kitchen with running water, and outdoor flush toilet and hot shower (separate spaces for both). Wifi is available near their store. If you go to the Mystery Castle (about 10-15 minutes by car), their tours are cash only. I also highly recommend the Museum of Musical Instruments, which is on the other side of Phoenix but SO worth the trip.

(Site 1 Prickly Pear campsite)
Stayed two nights in January, wish I could have stayed longer! Site exceeded my expectations, and included: fire ring with wood, camp chair, chaise lounge, table with chairs, separate trash recycling compost receptacles, and a sink with running water! I could have used a solar shower at my site but I opted for the shower in the bathhouse a short walk away (water was hot!). Portapotty also available between my site and my neighbor. My 3-person tent fit just fine in the tent space provided. Even being less than 30 minutes from downtown Tucson, the stars are plentiful and bright. Enjoyed talking with Tim, very helpful host!
Past trip
in Dreamcatcher Farm, ColoradoWarm fire, hot shower, cute dogs!
Stayed here two nights, would definitely stay again! Very easy to access Mesa Verde (you can see Point Lookout from the property). After camping for a few days elsewhere, it was great to have an indoor bathroom with flush toilet and hot shower. I also had cell reception (GoogleFi). We even got to hang with Lori at the communal campfire, but if you want something more private, there are several sites further away to choose from. Bonus: Lori has two adorable, friendly, soft dogs!
Past trip
in Kraay's Market & Garden, IdahoGreat tent site near craters
We tented here for two nights, and would definitely return! Check in (and out) was easy, toilet ws clean, and the potable water is just as good as described. Great mountain views in the morning, and you may even encounter some free range chickens. Easy to access Craters of the Moon too!
Past trip
in Meredith T.’s Land, MontanaLovely views, near to flathead lake
We stayed two nights and would have stayed longer if we weren't moving on! We did not use the shower but the toilet was clean, and potable water was readily available. We also had somewhat reliable phone reception (both AT&T and GoogleFi). The property faces west so you can watch the sun set, and see all the lights come on in the valley. The pond is picturesque, too. If you're lucky, you'll meet a very curious cat!

Robinson’s Roost
in Robinson’s Roost, MontanaHot shower is divine
We had a great time at this site! The hosts were responsive and greeted us upon arrival. Port-a-potty was clean and potable water was available. There were only 4 sites but all spaced out for enough privacy. We enjoyed the communal fire pit, and it was nice waking up to a view of mountains. But most of all: The Outdoor Shower with perfect water temperature. We really miss the shower. Would definitely return!
Home Gun Ranch Primitive Camping
in Home Gun Ranch Primitive Camping, MontanaClose to glacier, lots of space!
This is a lovely property with great views of the mountains and stars, and very close to Glacier NP. On our last night, we were the only ones around, and enjoyed the privacy. We had a little trouble staking our tent (I think we kept hitting rocks?) but eventually worked it out. Our cell reception went in and out (I have Fi, friend has AT&T). Port-a-potty was clean and convenient. Remember to bring your own water!
