Possum Hollow Camp
in Wunglebung, New South WalesSeclusion and nature
This was about our third visit to Wunglebung. We love the seclusion, peace and privacy. Watching the platypus in the river each day is always a highlight as are the microbats at night. Our dogs enjoyed the space and daily walks sniffing all the new smells.
River Beach Camp (4WD Access)
in Logan Park Farm, QueenslandPrivate and spacious
The location was perfect for us and our dogs. Quiet and private, well away from other sites but good open space for us to play and run. Well presented, grass was mowed. Communication with the hosts leading up to our stay was good.
Byron Hinterland minutes from beach
in Byron Bay Haven, New South WalesPrivacy & nature
This property was exactly what we wanted - complete privacy and space for us and our dogs. We really appreciated being the only campsite. We don't like busy campgrounds or camping right beside others. The creek was pretty and we enjoyed exploring. For us, this property was close to home and we only had 2 nights, so we spent less time on the road and more time relaxing, watching the birds flitting about and making a nest, wallabies grazing and the kookaburras visiting their tree hollow. Very special.
Timbertop Tranquility Bush Camp
in Timbertop Tranquility Bush Camp, New South WalesQuiet, peaceful, refreshing
Timbertop was exactly what we needed. Quiet, pretty bush location where we could spend time with our dogs and not too many others around. The host was super lovely to chat to. The site was mowed for us. Communication from enquiry to booking was wonderful.
The site is close to the road, but there were only 3 or 4 cars that went past each day, so it was still super quiet and the dogs loved being taken for a walk up the dirt road.
Waking up on the chilly mornings to hear the birds chirping in the trees was refreshing and the campfire at night helped with the crisp temps!
Possum Hollow Camp
in Wunglebung, New South WalesA refreshing rural stay
This was our second stay at Wunglebung, a few years apart and with new owners. We had a mid week stay and had the entire place to ourselves so it was absolutely amazing. The Possum Hollow site was well kept and well positioned. We kayaked every day, the dogs had plenty of space and we even had a night without wind when we enjoyed a campfire. The pit toilet and hot shower meant we didn't have to set up our own, so that was a bonus. Each morning we woke up to the company of the cows, calves and at some point during the day, the bull. For a couple of suburban dwellers, the shift to a rural setting was very refreshing. We even spotted a couple of platypus, a goanna, the possums, a mouse, various birds and the sneaky rabbit/hare. Greatly enjoyed hearing the frog chorus at night too.
Camping (unpowered) Max 2 Nights
in Hopping Dick's Hideaway, New South WalesLOOKOUT CAMP (4WD ONLY)
in Bungabee Springs, New South WalesWe visited Bungabee Springs in Oct 2019. We needed a quiet camp site away from other campers to suit our dog's needs. We had a fantastic spot, a nice open area beside tall trees which gave us much appreciated shade during the day. By night, we enjoyed watching the fireflies!!

in Wunglebung, New South WalesOur first camper trailer trip was to Wunglebung in November 2017. We stayed 4 nights but wished it was longer. Our site was great and we appreciated the toilet tent and hot shower. We loved the kayaks, platypus watching, the visiting cows, counting the shooting stars and wandering the property.
