Burton Serenity Glamping
in Burton Serenity Glamping, British ColumbiaPlan for more than just a night!
This is a superb park-like spot to camp when traveling thru the Kootenays. We stayed long term, and loved how convenient we were to the wharf/boat launch and swimming area...great way to spend the summer.
The hosts were great. We'd love to snap up this spot any time we're thru the Nakusp area....you will, too.
Burton Serenity Glamping

What a great property to camp at! Had easy access (ok, a little tight for our 55ft bus & trailer once they put up the metal gate!) on the private driveway. Even with our big rig we had tonnes of space to park & sprawl out with our sunshades, lawn chairs, Bbq set up etc. Loved being surrounded with greenery that offered privacy from the roads and the hosts.
Chantal was a great host; clear, friendly, helpful.
Wouldn't hesitate to return when we're back in the Kootenays.

in Van Roon Family Farm, British ColumbiaWe've stayed at the Van Roon's little farm several times now. Spacious, relatively quiet yet conveniently located to USA border, White Rock beaches, Abbotsford Int'l Airport, Aldergrove Regional Park & Campbell Valley Park, Vancouver etc. What's not to like?!!!

You can't ask for a better location...the little farm atmosphere just moments from the busy suburbs & city. There's several parks nearby to explore, and even the Vancouver Zoo isn't that far away, if that's your sort of thing.
Parking our coach out by the big willow was reminiscent of my childhood...in a very pleasant way. It provided shade from the heat; a great place to sip away a hot summer afternoon.
We personally love to hear the chickens and turkeys doing their thing, and enjoyed fresh farm eggs for breakfast...I recommend you don't forget to order some eggs for that yummy omelet!!
Arlene definitely has a bubbly personality, and both her and her husband are helpful & friendly people, without being in your space. They are great hosts, with clear communication. Its your responsibility as a potential camper to read what Arlene says about the facilities!!! She says it plain & simple.
We've been blessed to stay at this spot while visiting family, and will certainly be booking more stays at the Van Roon's in the future.
Burton Serenity Glamping
in Burton Serenity Glamping, British ColumbiaThe name was spot on!
Chantal (host) was spot on with the name, Serenity Glamping. We had electricity and water; spacious parking; tucked away behind a row of trees with easy access; sun shade and privacy from both the road and the hosts' house. So close to the lake we popped down there nearly every afternoon/evening. Lots of hiking trails nearby, too. Its just a short distance from the Needles ferry, and less than 30 mins to Nakusp with all the amenities one needs including Saturday morning Farmer's Market (in season)
Definitely will stay here again :)
