Intro: I enjoy long distance motorcycle trips (sometimes with my dog) and what else could make the experience better but camping!

Past trips
Redwater Revival Campground
in Redwater Revival Campground, South DakotaCalm with a pretty view
Herb was very helpful and made sure I was aware of everything he provided on the campsite. If tent camping be sure to secure your tent well as there are no natural barriers from the wind so it can pick up.
Grass limited trees
in Grass limited trees, South DakotaThis site seems to be more geared towards the RV crowd although theres not much stopping you from pitching a tent. The bathroom amenities are very convenient but unfortunately no fires at this location. It is also a little closer to the main road than I'd prefer, but it makes it easy to find.
Prairie Creek Campground
in Prairie Creek Forest Campground, MinnesotaOff beaten path, but easy to find
The instructions listed were more than enough to get you to your campsite. Bring tools to collect firewood if you'd like a campfire.
Purplehaze Acres
in Purplehaze Acres, WisconsinI stayed at site #2 and it was a quiet area with heavy tree cover. The hill to get to your site will provide plenty of exercise if you leave your campsite often. Daryl was very responsive to any questions and his instructions to get to the site were clear.
Itty Bitty Lakes Campground
in Itty Bitty Lakes Campground, ColoradoI must say that Robert and Kay have perfectly captured the experience of staying at their campsite in the pictures associated with their profile. If your site is riverside you get to hear the soothing sounds of the Arkansas River while occasionally catching rafters drifting down river. Make sure you say hi to Bailey if you visit!
Star Filled Skies
in Star Filled Skies, ColoradoGetting to this location seemed challenging, but GPS is able to follow the dirt roads and take you right to the tire marks. They might be a little hard to see but you can't miss the fence that is in front of the water source along with the large tree mentioned in the instructions. If there is a fire ban in place be sure to bring some warm clothes. There are no obstructions and it can get windy. Luckily for me the wind died down around the time the sun set. I'd recommend buying an appropriate sleeping bag so you can fall asleep looking at the incredible night sky and not be too cold when the temps drop over night.
Blackthorn Basecamp
in Blackthorn Retreat, KansasLocated right off a main road, Dave and his dog Echo were able to meet and lead me to the campsite. It was a very large space with fire pits, plenty of firewood, and even a place to charge your electronics. Dave was very accommodating and I had a great time talking with him about the courses and skills he teaches.
