Intro: We've been camping for years and love traveling the country in our travel trailer - most of the time with our two dogs and sometimes just the two of us. We love exploring and being with nature at our campsites.
Past trips
Adventure Haven, 27 miles from Moab
in The Aventure Haven, UtahCamping with a view mountains
We enjoyed our stay with James and Linda in La Sal. It is a bit out of Moab but once you get settled in you really appreciate the quiet and the view of the La Sal mountains. We were in site #1 and our front door faced the mountains it was so peaceful to look out on the mountains. We watched Thelma and Louise again last night and immediately recognized the same view from our camper and the opening of the movie! Pretty cool! James was very helpful in giving us good advice for our visits to both Arches NP and Canyonlands NP as well as navigating Scenic By-Way Route 128 with our 26 ft trailer - which was a fantastic road to take and we'd definitely recommend everyone driving on this scenic road which goes through an area where many a western was filmed. Just beautiful! James is pretty accurate in describing the campsite and La Sal and it definitely has its quirks and it's not fancy but we couldn't have enjoyed our time there any more than we did.
Road to the Sun Ranch
in Road to the Sun Ranch, UtahQuiet and peaceful camping
We loved camping on Zach's land - what's better than waking up to elk in the morning and watching them at sunset right from your campsite? The site is so quiet and right off beautiful Scenic By-Way Route 12 - it's about an hour away from the sites in Grand Staircase Escalante National Monument and very close to Capital Reef. Zach was so easy to communicate with and very helpful in explaining everything we needed to know about getting set up at the site and a little about the area. We really enjoyed our stay.
RV's Tents & Airplane Camp
in RV parking & Camp under the stars, New MexicoCactus Inn
in Cactus Inn, TexasClassic route 66 motel camping!
We really enjoyed our overnight at the Cactus Inn Motel. It’s conveniently located right off I-40. We camped right behind the classic cactus sign which made for a great photo opportunity. The site had easy water and electric hookup (50 amp - we used an adapter for our 30 amp travel trailer). There’s a great little steak house within an easy walk of the motel which is very good. The site is level but might be a little muddy on a rainy evening. We’d definitely camp here again on our way out west.
Mount Lindstrom on Brady
in Mount Lindstrom on Brady, OklahomaClose to downtown
We enjoyed our stay in Tulsa. The site is beautiful although a little challenging after an extremely rainy two days. It is 50 amp service but our host let us borrow a converter for our 30 amp trailer (we now carry one with us!). The site is so close to everything that downtown Tulsa has to offer and then you get to come home to a country-like setting. Christen sent us a very helpful link to a lot of restaurant options snd and camping details which was very helpful. She was also super easy and quick to communicate with. We camp in a 26 ft travel trailer with one slide.
#4- River Access at Fredrock
in Fredrock Waterfront Glampground, MissouriGreat camping experience
They did a great job with the land. Nice campsites, great additional accommodations if you didn’t bring your own. They did a beautiful job on all the tps and other stays they have on the site. Much attention to detail. It is very close to Twelve Mile creek, walking distance where the shut ins are. Beautiful. We were the only campers and quests there, but hey had everything set up and ready for all quests. Top notch to detail.
Spring Lake Full hook-up RV sites
in Spring Lake Ranch, MissouriPerfect for a long weekend
Great campground with a lot to explore in the area. The lakes are great for kayaking with the dogs, great places to walk and hike. RV sites are limited in size and some of the electric/water/waste hook ups are the opposite side of what you’d really want but they’re workable. Very quiet and peaceful campground.
