We spent 2 nights under the moon that illuminated the night. Being able to hear all of the animals at night and during the day provided a sense of closeness to the many life forms that live outside. Cooking over an open fire is a sacred experience and food always seems to taste better that way. We felt very safe during our stay and thoroughly enjoyed every moment of it. The chairs provided were quite comfortable and many hours were spent sitting and day dreaming.

This was our first time using Hipcamp and decided to take a short trip on a whim right before Christmas. It has been a week since our stay at the Tree house and we are still in awe as to how magical our experience was. The location was new territory for us. Being California natives, we were disappointed in not discovering this place sooner. Occidental is truly a California gem and this tree house estate is full of charm. We look forward to making our way back sometime in the near future.
