Hippie Chick N Farm
in Flying Pig Animal Sanctuary, GeorgiaGreat spot for a stop on my road trip!
Spacious Oak Hammock
in Spacious Oak Hammock, FloridaSecond stay at this sweet spot! I enjoyed the outdoor shower again and made use of the covered outdoor kitchen. Teresa showed me the adorably cute little cabin that they also have available. It’s cute from the outside but the inside swankiness is a must-see. Saving the best for last - Nacho the pup!!
Spacious Oak Hammock
in Spacious Oak Hammock, FloridaNacho’s paradise
Such kind hosts!! This is an expansive, gorgeous property with an abundance of shade for your camp setup and vehicle. Water and electricity at the sites with fire pit and picnic table. Communal camp kitchen has so many amenities and space to prepare meals. The outdoor shower is a road tripping tent campers dream. The highlight for me was Nacho the resident four legger. He’s adorable and let’s you pet him for free :-)
Wildcat Creek Educational Ctr
in Wildcat Creek Educational Ctr, Florida💜
This is a wonderland of Bill’s love and respect for the earth. It’s a gift to be able to explore and see his many projects and structures, the abundant fruit and veggie plots, the deep black water creek, his two dogs are best buds and so much fun to watch. I pitched a tent in an open area and had a great night camping. The shower was spectacular. One of my best camping experiences ever and Bill is so kind and generous to share it all.
Alibi's Acres
in Fischer Pines, FloridaTerrific!!!
TERRIFIC!
Note that I apparently hit the low rating button by accident and HipCamp can’t change it until I complete the review so please disregard any negative rating!!
What a great overnight spot for road tripping or to explore the area.
This was more convenient/closer off the highway than the state park (and more private!) with easy directions and few turns and the last stretch of dirt road is so packed it feels much like a paved road.
The site has ample space for camping with a boss fire pit, nice wooden picnic table and provided trash bin and latrine tucked beneath the trees.
The sunset…wow…and the beautiful horses!
Donna came out to say hi and she is a very kind host.
Fruit Orchard and Hemp Farming
in Felix's Family Farm, ColoradoBeautiful surroundings, nice swing to watch the gorgeous sunsets, good space to stretch your legs walking the property, picnic table w/water container was provided, clean porta potty with ample TP, easy to find the address and navigate to the campsite location and very nice hosts.
Stargazer Breezeway in Glenns Ferry
in La Breeza Homestead, IdahoRoad tripping tent camper’s dream stop. Easy access from/to I-84. Plush pasture land with great views. Nice layout with thoughtful amenities. Great host.
Camping at Carsner Tree Farm
in Carsners Tree Farm (CTF), OregonAmenities are well thought out and plentiful. It feels like a little resort with an attentive host who really cares about your visit. Definitely feels safe with the fenced property and gate. The dogs are fun and friendly and Kiki the cat is so boss.
Applegate Century Farm
in Applegate Century Farm, OregonI think I may have been the first tent camper of ‘22 going in early April. Gorgeous property to relax with the sounds of the creek and enjoy the scenery all around. Nice little walking path along the creek with a sign marking the start of the trail off the road that runs thru the property. Clean porta potty. Cute picnic tables provided at both sites. Great stop convenient to I-5. Susan is a great host and sharing her property is really a gift.
Forested creekside campsite
in Forested creekside campsite, OregonI was returning to Portland from a solo two month, mostly camping road trip to Southern California and wasn’t ready to end it. I stayed the max 3 nights here and it was great to stay put in such a beautiful place. Multiple laps on the walking paths that have some decent inclines fulfilled the daily cardio needs. Hanging out by the creek and enjoying the fire pit along with sunny days made this a perfect camp stop.
Walnut Grove on Organic Veggie Farm
in Grub Farm, CaliforniaChill place to pitch a tent for the night or even longer as a home base to enjoy the area. It has all the basics and the fire pit is a plus. And the swings on the trees! You're able to walk the property to stretch your legs a bit. Francine was very friendly and offered up places to go which the helpful information in the provided binder also gives. The produce bag gift was beautiful - I cooked up some of the spinach right away and the oranges and walnuts are delicious. Another (nice, cool and respectful) camper was in the other site and the area felt spacious enough to accommodate a fully booked campground ;-)
Panoramic Desert - Pebble
in Panoramic Desert Views, CaliforniaDesert life and camping!
The array of desert flora on the property is stunning. I was lucky enough to visit when spring was adding even more colors. I walked the large property both days zigzagging through and checking out all of the beauty. The campsite was private and perfect. Rented a propane fire pit and loved that extra addition to the experience.
Brad, his parents and sweet dog Rose will make you feel very welcome. I camped at 3 different campgrounds in Joshua Tree before stopping here on my way out of the area and this spot was the highlight. Also clean latrine, yay!
