in Ironwood Trail & Private Campground, PennsylvaniaGreat campsites in the woods
The sites and trail are very well kept. The lower site is small, probably good for a small group of 2 people, but the upper site is very large and has a nice flat spot for a bigger tent. David takes really good care of his property. The walk up to the sites is not bad, it's 800ft to the first site and 1000 feet to the second one. If you're OK with lugging stuff up a hill then you can pack a good amount of gear (we carried a bulky camping cot up the hill and it was fine). David is great and will make sure you are well taken care of.

Awesome campsite, feels quite remote but is just a few minutes away from the city of Lancaster. Included stumps to sit on, a nice fire pit with some logs, water barrels (the water is non potable), kitty litter and a shovel. Also features a nice flat open spot for a tent or three. The walk in is not long, just a bit steep.
