in S.W.Eden Ranch, ArizonaUnexpected delight

We were passing through and this gem, just off the beaten path, was a delight. You would never know that you are so close to a highway, because once you round the bend to this camp, you truly are in Eden. The views are phenominal, our host was kind and friendly, the camp space was level and felt fairly private. Perfect overnight pit stop.

Past trip
in Little Heaven Ranch ~ The re-Center, ArizonaYes ! a little slice of heaven !
Gin B.recommends this listing.
Amazing view, peace and quiet, lots of space between hipcampers, easy access, and just plain perfect. We stayed at Little (slice of) Heaven Ranch for two nights while visiting the Grand Canyon. We had snow top mountain views on the first night and woke to 4 inches of snow on our second morning. It was majestic. Our host was gracious and helpful and even checked travel conditions for us when we were leaving amd provided useful advice, as it was our first time pulling our camper in the snow. We loved it, our dog loved it and we would totally recommend it.

Past trip
in Cactus Rose Ranch, ArizonaWorked for us !!
Gin B.recommends this listing.
(Site 1)
Our first trip to Arizona. We wanted to be away from the cities and so this remote location was perfect for us. We were a little surprised to find ourselves in a private RV park - we did ask for hookup, but didn't think that we would be racked and stacked with several other RVs. However, once we backed into our space, all awareness of the other gueats and long term renters fell away. We had a glorious view of Four Peaks at sunset as our welcome postcard, and the working farm just off to the left. It was quiet and comfortable and just what we needed. Be prepared to drive no less than 40 minutes to most places, but Rio Verde/Tonto National Forest is a shorter drive. While there we saw Bald Eagle, Great Blue Heron, a flock of Northern Shovelers and hundreds of Swallows to name a few. We made day trips to old town Scottsdale, and Phoenix and had a hike at the Gateway Loop Trailhead. As long as you don't need to be anywhere quickly (which we didn't) Cactus Rose will work for you too.
Past trip
in Dragonfly Hill Desert Farm, CaliforniaPerfectly peaceful
Gin B.recommends this listing.
(Dispersed site)
DragonflyHill is a lovely place to stay. The hosts are kind and friendly and the surroundings are clean and peaceful. We thoroughly enjoyed our time there. Short drive to Joshua Tree and easy freeway access, yet far enough off the beaten path to enjoy the great outdoors. (It was super windy in March, but maybe that is normal, they do have a ton of windmills in that area).

Your camper at Briteview Acres
in Joy A.’s Land, CaliforniaVery pretty location
We had a very nice overnight stay here while passing through Tehachapi headed west. The camp spot is located at the corner of the host's yard and near the neighbors garage, which did not provide a lot of privacy, but the countryside is beautiful and the hosts are welcoming and kind. Once we settled in we were left alone and felt comfortable. Easy access for trailer parking and close enough to highway and town. Yet far enough away to be off the beaten path.
Desert Haven with Beautiful Views
in Pahrump Valley Desert Haven, NevadaOur first camp fire in ages
Very secluded, fabulius views, unattended by the host but a greeting wasn't needed. Perfect for our 20 foot camper. We parked with our windows facing snow covered Spring Mountain, but later turned to enjoy the twinkling lights of Pahrump. Far enough out of town to feel remote, yet a quick drive to Albertsons to pick up fire wood. We couldn't resist using the fabulous fire pit. It was the highlight of our stay. Followed closely by the ballon air show we woke up to in the morning. GPS took us down a gravel road (Panarama is gravel when it runs into 160), take Simkins to Panarama for a paved road experience.
