Past trip
in Surrounded by Nature!, British ColumbiaPerfect place to wind down
We loved this campsite! We wanted to explore Victoria and this was a perfect place to get back to after the busy city. Even though there was traffic on the road next to it, it felt very comfortable and private. They had some cute string lights and a propane fire for us, the hosts were very friendly and their dog Maggie visited us a couple of times. The lake is close by and perfect for a quick swim!
Past trip
in One Earth Collaborative Sanctuary, OhioOur stay at Lindsey's place was wonderful. We found a nice place for our tent, the site was very spacious and close enough to the river where we could take a swim! We arrived early so we did have first choice in picking a tentsite and we are glad we did. Not every site seemed good for tent camping, some of the sites (mostly right next to the river) were very "rocky" and some did not have a fire-ring. We took the second spot closest to the bridge, in between the open field and the river, it was perfect! The campsite was very cute, there was a central area where you could wash your dishes, drink some home-made lemonade, there was a big fire pit, everything looked really cute and the decoration was very unique, it felt homey and welcoming.
There is no picnic table at your tentsite so make sure you bring some chairs and earplugs if you are a light sleeper. The restaurant on the other side of the river did have events on both nights that we stayed. We took the furthest campsite but we could still hear the music. Lindsey was very nice to check up on us and telling us when it would end. It didn't bother us that much, it stops at 11pm and we slept fine with earplugs!
The restaurant has amazing food and is a very nice place to relax after a long day of hiking. We definitely recommend it and they also have plenty of gluten-free options! We did the perimeter hike at Ceasar Lake State Park, we also recommend that trail if you're in for a long hike. It's beautiful! Thanks Lindsey!

Camp at Heritage Farms in CVNP
in Camping at Heritage Farms, OhioWe absolutely loved Carol and George's campground! It was so calm and peaceful. All the campsites had so much privacy, it felt like we had the whole farm to ourselves! We parked down the hill and used the trolleys to bring stuff to our campsite. Restrooms were clean and far enough from your campsite, but not so far you have to walk for 10 minutes. The campsites were very clean, we had a V structure which was super helpful! We didn't know those structures were big enough to actually fit 2 sleeping pads, so next time we'll definitely leave the tent at home and use the V structure! The location is absolutely perfect, you're in the middle of Cuyahoga National Park. We brought bikes and there are also bike rentals, definitely recommend biking through the park and sleeping on this beautiful land full of Christmas trees! Thanks Carol & George!
Past trip
in West Wind Stables, OhioBest campsite experience so far!!
We stayed at Suzieâs place for one night and it was amazing! It was mostly to try out our new bought camping gear, but we were so surprised by this place, it was BEAUTIFUL!!! The site is pretty big and has several places to set up your tent (on the edge with a view or there were also spots in the forest). We chose the spot on the edge with a view, and the view is truly beautiful. Big open fields with wildflowers, horses on the other side, they were so peaceful! We even saw some deer running in the open field in the morning.
The outhouse is really comfortable with a nice toilet-seat. And the farm is really pretty with lots of horses, cats, dogs, geese, swans and more. They didnât come near the tent site.
Past trip
in The Turkey Hollow Campground, OhioPeaceful and fun experience
We stayed 2 nights at Turkey Hollow and we've had a great time. The host was in and out the campground and always friendly. The road to the campground was tricky for our Ford Focus, it is very steep but we made it. The campground is very quiet besides some farm noises like cows and dogs.
Overall we've had a great time and experience, we would recommend this to others for a peaceful and fun experience in the woods.
Celine & Martijn hasn't gone on any trips yet.

Site 1 - Back Forty Vineyards
in Back Forty Vineyards, British ColumbiaBeautiful views
The campsite was great! We stayed on site 1 and had an amazing view with vineyards and mountains in the background. The campground itself was a little hard to find, no signage from the main dirt road, and we didnât see the hosts during our stay. There was a fire ring and picnic table and plenty of firewood to buy for purchase. The outhouse was very primitive, with a door that was difficult to close, but it did the trick! I would come back here!

Wooded Site @ Quiet Horse Farm

We came back to the primitive campsite for the second time. Again, it was wonderful! The campsite is so beautiful with views, sounds, lots of horses around you. Itâs very peaceful and perfect for a night in the woods! Highly recommend!
