Lux Romantic Wilderness Yurt
in Romantic Forest Hide-a-Way, WashingtonI had never stayed in a yurt prior to this and now I think I have the highest expectations! There was so much space and the tall ceiling had me mesmerized. There is a spacious deck on the backside which has a built in cedar hot tub, BBQ and plenty of places to sit. I could have (and very seriously contemplated) spending the entire stay in the cedar hot tub. THAT THING WAS SO COOL! With the complete silence of the property with the exception of the chirping birds, it was the perfect place to spend my morning with my coffee and book. The back patio overlooks the meadow and we were able to watch a sweet family of deer all evening after our walk. There are plenty of places to wander and explore and wildlife everywhere you look. The yurt is complete with a full kitchen and appliances allowing you to really make yourself at home. We kept commenting on how perfect the dining room table would be for a large puzzle and I think we will be back in the winter in the snowfall to do just that! AC and heat are both available in the yurt which was a pleasant surprise in the 100 degree weather that greeted us. It is clear the hosts put a lot of thought and planning into this to make it both stunning, and wheelchair accessible for guests.
Romantic Wilderness Tree House!!
in Romantic Forest Hide-a-Way, WashingtonThis treehouse was like nowhere else I've stayed! All communications and preparation done by both the hosts and the caretaker were above and beyond. I followed the written directions given to me for the property and had no issues. Immediately after turning off the main road and following the 2 mile gravel driveway, I knew I was in for a treat. The mountain greeted me as soon as I turned a bend and I had to stop for a minute to take in the full beauty. There was wildlife every where I looked and plenty of places to wander and roam around the property. My morning walks with my coffee and camera were some of my favorite times. The treehouse itself was cozy and had everything I needed. There is no AC unit and seeing as it was nearly 100 degrees when I arrived I was a little nervous I'd not sleep well but the open windows, natural breeze and window fans cooled the area right down come bedtime. I slept like a rock hearing nothing but the sounds of nature. This was a great getaway and was close enough to town for an evening happy hour or morning coffee run. I kept thinking to myself how I can't wait to come back in the winter and experience it with the snow falling! This is a must stay.
Botanist Bath and Breakfast
in Salmon River Terrace, OregonThere are so many options of places to stay at this site! There were two different sets of guests staying inside of the house as well as another tent camper the night we were there. That being said, we pretty much had the outdoor patio to ourselves after some quick introductions to the fellow guests. We were able to set our tent up on the patio right by the river which was perfect for our pups to swim and play while we sat by the fire pit. Firewood and supplies were provided by the host which were a perfect compliment to the smores ingredients we brought! Slept peacefully to the sound of the flowing river right next to us.
Backyard Campsite on Urban-ish Farm
in Balsamroot Ranch, WashingtonThis was such a unique space! It was easy to forget you were right in the outskirts of Portland. We spent the night listening to the wind rustling in the tall trees above as we dozed off to sleep in the perfectly cozy cabin. It felt like we were out in the woods in the middle of nowhere. The host had it equipped with necessities for morning coffee/tea and fresh water and the cutest teal mini fridge I've ever seen. The restroom was easily accessible in the main house with a private entrance from the back yard. We were greeted in the morning by chickens in our porch and it wouldn't be a complete experience without feeding the goats before we left! Great stay in a cute cabin.
WINE COUNTRY TENT GLAMPING @ MVP
in Mountain View Paradise glamping, OregonThis place was magic!! I felt like I was in the middle of no where when really you're just a short walk or drive from so many activities. Wine tasting right around the corner even! The host was a gem and made sure I was plenty comfortable and had everything I needed. I slept like a rock and fell asleep to the sound of frogs and coyotes. An early morning walk to the pond with a cup of coffee in hand was the perfect icing on the cake. Great stay, great place. WE WILL BE BACK!
