What an amazing Hipcamp!! We can’t wait to book again. Jon was a wonderful host that always ensured your needs were met. From the start Jon was very communicative about the sites to make sure we were aware of winter conditions and that we could safely access the Sugar Maple site. He guided us up the snow crusted farm road safely. Giving us tips along the way. Once up there you could just feel the magic of the solitude On top of the World. With the farm road the way it was, we opted to stay put until we departed 4 days later. There was plenty to keep us happy. There was a little snow fall while there. Jon suggested where we could walk the farm and ridge line, meet Bonnie and the cattle, fire pit, snowman making , and the dogs just loved roaming the farm free!! Our 8 year old dogs just pranced and ran and sniffed. happy dogs! Beautiful sunrises the days we were there! We bought some beef tips while there and he was kind enough to share recipe and a few spices I hadn’t brought. Always above and beyond. We enjoyed learning about the Highland Cows. Five stars plus!!!! Thank you Jon for hosting us and really making out get away perfect!!

Mountain Cove Vineyards was spectacular! Al was a wonderful host!!! We arrived during daylight and picked a spot perched up On the hill so we could look at the vineyards and the mountains across the way. It was perfect. Hay bales scattered around the field and yellows and oranges still showing off at the end of fall foliage. While we set up our van Al came over and made sure we were happy w our location. We then went over for a wine tasting with our dogs. He had a Woodstove lit for the tasting. But we ended up sitting outside in the garden area to watch the sun setting. Most perfect. The solitude and space has always been our priority when we do Hipcamps. And this did not let us down. As the afternoon went on. He offered the firepit and bathrooms if we wanted. Which was very kind. The firepit was so nice and the dogs just loved hanging out by the warmth of the fire. We were lucky enough to get a few glimpses of the full moon on Halloween night. We were overly impressed and grateful for Al opening up his vineyard to us and our dogs. Highly recommend.
There was a trail across the street that he mentioned but we ended up just enjoying his land. But nice to know there was something across the street to explore
Rhe the next time. Even though it’s a preserve he mentioned dogs would be ok. Next time. :)

We arrived at Rocky Run Farm and had great directions to our campsite. It was right along the creek. The campfire was set up for us with plenty of wood to replenish the firepit for the night. Which was awesome!! We set up our camp and Doug and Audie arrived with the pickles and crate of fresh produce we purchased in advance. What a great offering. They made sure we had everything we needed and were super friendly. We were able to walk the farmland with our dogs. Which had great views of Old Rag and the countryside. Great to get out and feel some solitude. Also they had a Green box truck w maps and info if you need it. Thoroughly enjoyed the morning. Dew and looking out at the fields and the sunlite hay rolls. The dogs got to roll in grass.

Great spot for solitude. Yates was working the farm upon arrival. You can see the love of his location. He shared his plans on having trails here to explore his land which is great. We had just a quick getaway. Loved hearing all the nature at highs. Great site in front of pond.

A great place to go for some solitude! Daniel met us to take us up the windy dirt roads to potential camp spots. Daniel worked with us to find a place of
solitude. Beautiful views. Cool temps at night. He reached out to make sure our needs were met. The hiking trails on site made it so easy just to go out and explore. Dogs are allowed off leash which is an added bonus. Daniel mentioned how they are doing a lot of work to keep improving the hipcamp sites with signage for trails and add more facilities. Loved the outdoor shower with a view.

Beautiful site. Campsites were spread out well. Everyone seemed to have dogs, but they all seemed to settle into their own sites without barking at each other all night. Beautiful views on top of the mesa. Had a great campfire and relaxing few nights. They had a great covered picnic area and chairs around the campfire. outhouse had a solar light so u could see it at night. Making it impossible to get lost. The only time we got lost was trying to find our site in the dark. But Jim came up to help us. :). Jim was very very helpful.

Forest Springs Camping & RV
in Forest Springs, CaliforniaColette was extremely thorough. Great directions to find her oasis in the countryside. Super map of trail system. Huron path was our favorite and our dogs. The bathhouse was immaculate and great refresher after day of hiking. We parked our conversion van by the barn. She has hookups of water and electric if u need it. We chose not to use it. Morning sunrise and sunsets were so peaceful. And her gardens and orchards were a joy to walk through. Even saw some deer in the pasture. Can't say enough about how wonderful Colette was. And the military appreciation and discount was very thoughtful.
