Casa Choya Magestic Views and WiFi
in Casa Choya Magestic Views and WiFi, New MexicoA-Lodge Boulder - #VANLIFE SITES
in A-Lodge, ColoradoNeeded a place to exclusively crash for the night and ended up wishing we’d stayed for a few days. First off- the basics: ground was level, easy checkin and location, clean bathrooms, hot showers, just super friendly. The extras: this is a really sweet spot with a creek and lounge spots, lots of amenities, but also a fantastic well coordinated spot to crash if you need. We didn’t get to experience it during the day because of a late pull in, but it looks dope.
Camping near Hamilton Pool
in Camping near Hamilton Pool, TexasReally lovely!
Sheri's place was lovely! It had everything we could need- privacy, compost toilet, grill, fire pit, hammocks. The hot tubs are down (thanks Covid), but the outdoor shower is an absolute delight. Besides the land being beautiful, and the amenities being on point, Sheri and her "Old Hippie Johnnie" are just wonderful! So nice and helpful. 5 minutes to Reimer's and Hamilton's pool (although no swimming rn), and p close to Pedernales as well. Will DEF stay again.

in Camping near Hamilton Pool, TexasBarn Door Hostel - Campground
in Barn Door Hostel, New HampshireBarn Door Hostel campsite was lovely. Picnic table and fire pit were a nice touch. Campsites were quiet past dark despite being pretty full. David’s super nice and everyone on site was really helpful. The areas beautiful and close to lots of hiking. Heads up- unless you come in a van you will not be able to drive your car to the site. You have to carry your belonging up a pretty steep hill. Not so bad, but had I known I likely would have packed a bit differently.
Cadillac Mt View Loft and Hammocks
in Wolves and Sounds of the Night, MaineOriginally I didn’t think not being able to find a campsite in bar harbor would be the best thing to happen on our trip to Acadia. After a quick search and panicked phone call (no place to sleep) I found this spot and had it booked and confirmed in 20 min. The site was perfect, private, clean porta potty, running water, fire pit, and trees for hammock hanging. The most interesting part is this place is a wildlife preserve! The goats and the big dogs are there to greet you in the morning, the chickens roam around and the porcupines are lounging lazily most of the day. We were lucky enough to be hanging around when a wolf experience tour came through. This was very close to Acadia, and we ended up being waaaaaay happier staying here than an overbooked campground slightly closer to the park,
Must say- this is the place to stay if you’re respectful and looking for a chill experience. You’re camping privately, but you also have the responsibility of being near someone’s home as well as wild animals. They aren’t roaming the grounds by any means, but if you can’t follow the rules and be reverent of wildlife you should find somewhere else to stay.
