Past trips
Driftless Area Rolling Hills
in Organic Farm Getaway, WisconsinIt was a very relaxing stay. I am always surprised how you can drive 40 minutes outside of Madison and be in a completely relaxed, rural environment. Love the sheep and chickens. Very friendly and helpful family!
Bad Axe Tent Camping
in Bad Axe Cabin Tent and Glamping, WisconsinThis was the most secluded, relaxing camping experience we've had. It was a very private site. All the soothing nature sounds - babbling river, birds, crickets, campfire crackles.
Would recommend! Are already looking forward to finding a longer weekend for a stay next year.
Life is Good
in Shady Rest Acres, MinnesotaThis was the most relaxing camping experience we have ever had! Michelle and Patty were both very friendly and gave us many excellent recommendations for local places to eat and hike. The animals were all very sweet and friendly and well maintained in natural environments. It is obvious these folks love their farm and their animals love their job of maintaining the countryside and being animal ambassadors. The cave was very interesting and novel. Thanks! We'll be back!
🌳 BEAVER HAVEN 🌳
in 🦫 Flutterby 🦋 Farm 👩🏽🌾, WisconsinWe enjoyed camping on the little Island surrounded by Weister Creek. It rained all day Saturday so we got to watch the level go up dramatically and then down again right away which was fun. The road access to upper hike was muddy but we went anyway :)
Camp is very centrally located to Virocqua (farmer's market, lunch, and shopping) and canoeing on the Kickapoo and hiking at Wildcat Mountain.
Thanks!
Farmside Tent & RV Site
in Heritage Family Gardens' Farm, UtahThe campsite was in an open space behind the farm. Not much to it, just a flat open space. No trees or shade.
Stacey was very friendly and the communication and directions were excellent.
There was a portapotty, a fire pit, water and garbage can.
It is a working farm so there were all the smells and sounds (roosters crowing, irrigation hoses, equipment noise) that you would expect.
About 20 minutes from the Quarry entrance to Dinosaur monument park down a twisty road, unpaved at the end.
Cowboy Bunk House Camp with Jacuzzi
in Coral Pink Ranch Cowboy Camp, ArizonaWas an hour south of Zion but directions were good.
Don was very welcoming.
Definitely surrounded by ranches so expect to be woken by roosters, etc. Not a problem for us!
Lots of amenities - hot tub, shower, outdoor kitchen, coffee and fresh fruit, towels, wifi, excellent quality and price on firewood.
Bunk house was comfortable - beds ok, bedding ok, temperature ok
Ranchito Feliz
in Ranchito Feliz, UtahThe location was excellent.
There were a variety of sites to choose from based on our needs.
It was a very intentionally created space with many rustic amenities and small touches.
Roy was very friendly and welcoming with excellent recommendations about local options for food and activities.
Would recommend.
Tipi 2 at the Rocks
in The Needles Outpost Campground, UtahThe Tipi itself was very scenic and the sunset was gorgeous.
The outpost was handy for conveniences.
It was located next to the group site which had hordes of loud, unsupervised children the night we stayed.
The restrooms were nice and reasonably clean.
We slept together on our own bedding instead of the individual cots.
