The hubby and I needed to get the heck out of Houston for a few days with our 4 kids. Courtney, her husband and children were excellent hosts! The kids were completely fascinated with the farm animals. Every morning we took a stroll around the property to say hello to the horses, foals, cows, goats, chickens, roosters, ponies, the wallaby, Howard the Emu and Rowdy the bull. The hosts pups are also precious!! The moon and stars at night are so clear. We got stuck in the mud after a torrential downpour on the eve of our arrival but the hosts helped us get out of the muck. Would 100% recommend and we will be back!

This place is truly magical! There are both drive-up and walk-in primitive campsites scattered about their lovely wooded property. So many trails and places to explore. The name "Wanderland" is fitting. We paid extra for the farm tour and we were not disappointed. We got to meet goats, guineas, chickens, cattle, horses, donkeys, a wallaby, and a coatimundi! My son enjoyed kayaking on the cute pond while I enjoyed the woods.
The drive up campsites are right off the host's home, but the walk-in campsites are very secluded.
The hosts were very welcoming, but also left us alone to do our own thing. It was the perfect balance, I couldn't ask for a better host family.
There were a few caterwauling barred owls and a pack of coyotes roaming around at night but the donkeys kept everyone safe haha!
This is a little slice of perfect country camping. We can't wait to return! Thanks for the memories, Camp Wanderland!
The main campsite is very spacious and can comfortably fit multiple large tents. Other sites can be reached by foot are spaced out and secluded. I stayed here for the night with my girlfriend as we were passing through. We had s great hammock camp set up. I wish we could've stayed longer to spend time with all the animals. Courtney and her husband were very friendly. They've put a lot of work into their land and it shows.

What a gem!! We packed up and headed to Camp Wanderland with a teenager and kindergartner for a quick overnight. I wish we’d stayed longer! The swimming hole was fun to play near even though nobody got in. The slack line kept the teenager entertained. Our site had chairs, a fire ring, and a cooking grill. We had the place to ourselves but wandered through the trails and found that the sites were all pretty secluded and private. Our site was clean and mostly poison ivy - free, though some was cropping up near trees as expected. The firewood bundles were generous (we couldn’t use it all!) and the farm tour was a blast. It was basically like our own private petting zoo. We fed horses, ducks, guineas, sheep, goats, chickens and I can’t even remember what else. My daughter got to brush, leas, and ride a pony too. Courtney and her kids clearly enjoy caring for their animals. At night we coudl see stars from the grassy field near the water hole. I’d definitely recommend a visit!
We really enjoyed our weekday getaway trip camping at Wanderland. We had rain on and off but stayed pretty dry out in the woods. We loved our little site near the slack line. Far enough into the woods to feel secluded but close enough to the little pond to go swim or to visit the animals. My 3 year old son loved the ducks and bunny! The lake is little but perfect to cool off in on the hot August days! Loved our trip and will be back!

Tons of animals taken care of by such a kind family. Very open and welcoming. Wish we could have stayed longer!
Yonderland was amazing as always! I've been out here several times to camp with my friends and am always so impressed by the work Courtney and her family are putting into the place. This is my go-to spot for a quick getaway from Houston.
Friendly farm with cute animals
What a wonderful experience! Courtney’s farm is filled with love. The sites are private and perfect for a weekend camp - plenty of space for a tent and a fire. Some of the sites could fit a group. Chairs are provided, and some sites have picnic tables. The sites are in the far back of the property, but heavily wooded so it feels miles away. The farm isn’t too far from civilization- you could run to Wal-Mart quickly if you forgot an item. Bring bug spray!
The farm tour can’t be missed. Courtney and her family have welcomed in many different animals, from chickens to emus, and have rescued a lot of horses. If your lucky, there may be a bay goat or two. The farm is easy to find, and Courtney is great at communicating. Highly recommend.
