We are just getting started with this so you’ll be able to help us from the ground up. If we are not in a burn ban you’re welcome to have a campfire. There will be opportunities to call up a wild coyote or watch some mule deer or an occasional antelope stroll by. You could even be awakened by the horses on their way to water in the morning and we can set up some horse riding if we have enough notice to schedule time off from the 9-5 haha. Can’t wait to see you on the prairie!

What a magical place to stay!! I camped here with a group of 8 ladies while we were on a hiking trip to Palo Duro Canyon. First I can’t say enough about the friendly farm dogs! Ted and the furry gang welcomed us right away and would guide us home every night by leading the way all the way down the dirt road to our campsite. What a gentleman!
The horses looked over us at night, but beware they will steal any food left out! They came through our campsite every night around 2-3am and kept watch over us as we slept.
The windmills were like a giant white noise machine that lulled us to sleep each night. The sunrises were amazing and stargazing even better.
Thank you so much Tyler for hosting us, we will definitely book again next time we are visiting Palo Duro! :)
Lovely sunrise/ sunset plus horses!
My boyfriend and dog and I camped here for the night after hiking the Palo Duro Canyon and we loved it! We arrived right at sunset which was incredible to watch with the windmills in the distance. Our dog jet loved running around and playing with their dog (who I think was named Ted). Ted was such a sweetheart he was a great addition to our campsite. On our way out we got to pet the horses while watching the sunrise.
We've stayed here a couple of times now, and it's great! If you are looking for easy, off grid camping with a very welcoming host, this is a lovely spot. The sunrise on our last visit was spectacular!
Coyote Breaks Farm is the place to stay if passing through Amarillo! It’s peaceful, feels safe, has a beautiful sunset, and Tyler the host is helpful and kind. The cool thing is you feel your are in the middle of nowhere but you definitely are not far from civilization;)) I would definitely stay again. Oh and you will have your very own personal guide to the camp site! His name is Ted and he has four legs;) this was my first time ever and I just bought our RV less than 2 weeks ago.
The most amazing place! The view of the windmills is amazing, the stars are gorgeous, his dog is a genius, and his horses love people. Would definitely come back just to stay here again.
Perfect night under the stars
Amazing stay!!! We stayed 2 Saturdays in a row and it was perfect halfway stop for us. Loved sleeping under the Texas size fans and with the horses. Beautiful sunset and sunrise. Thanks so much.
