Camper is closed for the winter season, but will accept bookings starting March 1 2022.  Experience the comforts of the country while being close to historic downtown Mansfield. Enjoy your own campfire while listening for coyotes or owls in the distance.  Settle in with a cool beverage and enjoy the sights and sounds of our friendly sheep, chickens, horses, local owl and hawk families, and of course our little pack of friendly corgis. Let us know, and we can reserve some family time at the pool for you during those hot Texas afternoons. Light sleepers may want to use ear plugs (provided if you forget!) or similar as Drumstick the rooster does wake up early, and always has much to share with the day. Your own well-mannered dog (or adventurous cat) is welcome on the property with a leash and with your guidance. Everything you need for a comfortable stay in an RV is included including cooking utensils and basic spices. Bring your favorite comfort food to cook over a campfire or in the camper's kitchen. Check the Extras section and add a dozen farm fresh eggs from our happy free range hens for a memorable and healthy breakfast! RV is thoroughly cleaned and disinfected between guests, including restroom, bed linens, and all surfaces. There are bike trails within a few minutes drive on Mansfield's miles of paved linear park trails, world class off road biking at Cedar Hill State Park or Burleson's Chisenhall Park (20-25 minute drive) canoe and kayak paddling trails in nearby Joe Pool Lake, (day-use fee collected by Grand Prairie parks) and numerous attractions and events throughout the year in Fort Worth's Cowtown or the Fort Worth Stockyards, a 20+ minute drive. We are just 2 miles from Mansfield's town center and our county road is busy during commute hours, so please expect road noise.

My husband and our two corgis recently visited the Corgi Camper - nothing says love like taking your dogs for a vacation. They had a marvelous time exploring and just being outside in the sunshine where they could “run free” (inside the fence, of course).

Sandy was there to greet us upon arrival and the camper was spotless. She explained how to use everything and we were good to go. One note….there isn’t a mention of a television (not why you go camping), so my TV-addicted-husband had actually brought his own. No need - there’s one in the camper that got better reception than ours did at home! We also found a delicious bottle of wine from Lost Oak Winery chilling in the refrigerator. we didn’t have time to visit the winery, but it’s definitely on my “to do” list. We also opted to get the fresh eggs; again my husband was in heaven! I also got to kiss the sheep, but that’s another story….lol.

We spent Saturday exploring the area and after a yummy breakfast ended up at the Flea Market in Weatherford. As a “city girl” it was wonderful to be in a more rural area and see all the things they sell. (Hint: Almost everything). One of our corgis had back surgery and gets tired easily so Sandy was incredibly gracious and loaned us her “doggie stroller” so we could take our youngest with us. He loved all the attention and had the best dog day ever!

Unfortunately, I had to be back at work by 11am on Sunday so we couldn’t stay and see more of the area. There is SO much to do nearby if you’re a “doer” and if I weren’t someone who doesn’t “just sit” very well, I can easily imagine hanging with the animals and reading a book all day.

We’d absolutely return again as the Corgi Camper was a terrific opportunity to get away from the city without having to pay big bucks for a hotel. And we all (corgis included) had a wonderful time.

Our stay at The Corgi Farm was wonderful! The camper was super cozy with plenty of room to make breakfast with the eggs, straight from the farm, and play some scrabble! In the evening, we made some s'mores and enjoyed the starry sky from camping chairs sitting at the fire pit. The host, Sandy is so kind and made us feel right at home. Her house is visible from the camper but we had all the privacy we needed. The meet and great with the animals was so much fun! Even though my chihuahua was hesitant with the unfamiliar animals, they were still so sweet with us :) We cannot wait to stay at The Corgi Farm again!

We loved staying at the corgi farm! We have four young kids with us and they loved all the animals! Sandy was an amazing host and made us feel at home! She provided us with small bathroom and shower which made it so easy for us with the kids! We were close to Mansfield so if we needed anything we weren’t far away! I highly recommend this for camping! Thanks again Sandy!

My GF and I wanted to have a weekend away from the usual at-home activities, and decided that glamping and being around farm animals would be fun. We had never stayed in an RV before and weren’t sure what to expect, but Sandy had provided everything in terms of comforts and she was extremely helpful and responsive with any questions that arose. We enjoyed hanging out with the sheep and the Corgis and we cooked food over a fire, so it was exactly the weekend away from the usual suburban life that we wanted. We would certainly stay here again.

The location is great if you want to run in to Mansfield for food or activities. We recommend The Flying Squirrel coffee shop (5 minutes away) and Lost Oak Winery in Burleson (about 25 scenic minutes away).

I was their first tent camper. The cowgirl potty hadn’t been set up yet. I was camping with the horses so there was a lot of poop. If you love horses then you’ll love petting the old white horse who’s friendly once he warms up to you. He’ll hang out with you at your campsite. Kevin, Violet, and Indigo were the sheep who sought all my attention in their sheep pen. I wasn’t there for very long, but it was a memorable experience.

Hi Maritza, I'm sorry you didn't enjoy your experience here. Where was the area in your campsite that had a lot of poop? I'd like to be able to address this issue for future campers, and it seems that I probably missed some clean up prior to your arrival. Your review here will definitely help me decide if I want to offer this spot again to future campers. I hoped you might like it as you had said you wanted a quiet place for reflection, so it was an experiment that clearly didn't pass the customer test. I hope the partial refund you received helped.

This was by far one of the best weekend trips we have ever taken as a family. Sandy far exceeded our expectations with her hospitality and kindness. The property is beautiful and has so much to offer. We all disconnected and read, went swimming and had great conversations. Sandy was so welcoming and respectful of giving us space, but was always available.
The camper was clean and even had a “forgot” basket if you needed something. We will be returning many more times. 20/10 would recommend. Tent camping sites or renting the Corgi Camper.

Of course all the Corgis!! Little fell for Silver Sandy snapped this gem of a family pic for us. 💕Swimming with the pups

Sandy and Lou were incredibly kind, patient, and accommodating during our one-night stay for a wedding in the area. Communication was quick and all instructions were understandable. Check-in was very efficient and welcoming, as Sandy met and showed us around upon arrival. The property is just lovely, complete with all the cute animals your heart could desire. The camper was very nice and spotless; Sandy and Lou have thought of literally everything for a wonderful stay, including coffee, wine, plenty of linens, and a super thoughtful “I Forgot” box filled with an astounding variety of toiletries and snacks. We enjoyed coming in for the night to sparkling patio lights and a nice, cool camper, and watching all the animals while we lounged by the pool the next morning. An incredible value and superb amenities, complete with the excellent “customer service” and warmth from Sandy and Lou. From the interactions we had and how well they cared for us, we felt as welcomed as family, and hope to stay again sometime if we are ever in the area!

This was my first Hipcamp stay and Sandy made it amazing. My puppy dogs and I did a day trip to Mansfield to use her farm and we were so welcomed. She allowed us to use her pool and enclosed back yard so my pups could run around. They had a blast digging in the dirt and barking at her chickens and sheep. We didn’t camp overnight but she has ample space to park your camper/trailer/etc and plenty of field to feel one with nature. Sandy is the best host ever making sure that we had everything we needed. I would definitely go back. If you choose her place you won’t regret it.

Sandy was great and took pictures of us with her camera. Kids all clean after an exhausting and fun day. The Corgi Farm CamperThe Corgi Farm Camper
