My campsite is on county road 134 that is known as Riverdale Lane. It is a historical site that had 1000 ft of river frontage. The river is clean and has natural sand silt for river bottom. The new county bridge and road run the east side of my property and 1000 ft of river from county bridge west then property runs from the river to the east 500 plus ft and then runs north back to river at point I of beginning. I have cleared and will be stabilizing the ground planting tropical trees to replace those I have removed. I’ll be cutting and burning vines st riverbed and San Antonio river authority along with the precinct commissioner are working on an erosion plan with me. I have natural rock formations along my riverbed. The county has just installed a kayak drop across the bridge on other side east access last month. The address is 1662 N Riverdale Lane Goliad Texas. I hope to be able to open by mid April starting out with primitive tents and tents on platforms around the kitchen cabana outside cooking and gatherings area, then I will start in the high end deluxe secluded glamping tent sites. It will boast the primitive times of the cotton gin town that became a basic ghost town in the late 50’s. I have electric and water. All primitive tent sites will also be nice tents on platforms with their own toilet ares. These tents are high quality fire retardant and waterproof with 2 doors a front patio and plenty of room. With porch decking. The High end glamping spots will have their own private relaxation area with 2 ceramic tubs for hot tubs and outside shower and cooking area. I have a separate parking área for campers with separate entrance. The San Antonio is a natural spring fed river that is clean and had yellow catfish blue catfish bass and sun perch. I have extinct bats the Mexican ref bat that migrated in at spring and take flight at dusk. This river is known as the paddling trail of texas and has expanded its river runs to my property. I will offer fishing docks and look for High end kayakers and wilderness adventures as I am basically the only camp that is on river. It is a 12 mile run to goliad hwy 59 river drop to state park. Besides excellent vintage and new boutique shopping the county boasts a historical courthouse where it was one of the 5 hanging courthouses known in texas. It has the mission/basilica La Bahia and the entire fort still stands untouched from the Mexican war. Goliad is part of the Texas Independence Trail.
