Abundant of Cedars and thicket for wildlife: white tail deer, wild hogs, bobcats, coyotes, cotton tail bunnies, road runners, snakes, wild turkeys and whippoorwills to see and hear. Some areas are rocky, plenty of firewood. Enjoy camping green and off grid. Come meet retire racehorse, Punch, plus our other horses Ladybug, Heidi, Ashes and Tiny . We have 2 campsites, The View and Live Oak Trail. Both campsites have great views of the valley and sunsets. The View has an open area with a flat spot to pull a big rig in, plus a few large Live Oaks trees. Live Oak Trail is under the canopy of the Live Oaks with plenty of shade, a little tight for big vehicles. Dinosaur World, Dinosaur Valley and Brazos River are all near us.

Primitive camping with my family in Melinda’s property was so great!! Porta potty was so clean and included necessary items For a comfortable go. The property was far enough from her main house to feel free to roam but close enough in case we felt we needed anything. Their horses roam freely in the day time. My daughter and nephew both under 5 loved that!! They were able to walk up to them grazing and pet them for a while before we headed out. The view area from the ridge is only a 2 minute walk from the camp grounds and is amazing when it comes to their sunsets. Fire pit and picnic table accommodated my family perfect. It was only a weekend getaway but it was great!!! Only 20 minutes from dinosaur park and we definitely went and did that as well!! Will be back for sure!!

We loved staying here! Far enough outside of the city to feel completely secluded, but not a bad drive at all.

— Melinda and Tim were super friendly and welcoming, and their animals are nearly just as friendly! We enjoyed seeing their two dogs and petting the horses.
— both campsites are large, so there is plenty of room to set-up—there is also plenty of distance between the two sites, so we really appreciated the privacy
— the landscape is pretty and the view is great! Also, NO MOSQUITOS 🙌🏼

We would definitely go back to Coyote Ridge in the future!

Melinda and Tim were amazing hosts! The horses on their ranch roam freely during the day and our kids were elated. They invited our girls to help feed the horses their breakfast and gave us quick lesson on raising horses.
We were thrilled to see firewood at our site upon arrival and there was plenty of it to last for our three night stay.
Would highly recommend staying here!

My husband and I have been looking for good camping places since moving to Texas and found this to be just what we were looking for. This spot was absolutely beautiful. Melinda and Tim are wonderful hosts, we enjoyed getting to know them, their dogs, and their horses that roam the property. Beautiful views, good shaded spot for camping, and nice peaceful atmosphere. An added bonus was that our dog could explore with us off leash which made her and us quite happy. Definitely recommend!

This was a return trip for us, and this time we brought our Girl Scout troop to Coyote Ridge for their first overnight camping trip together. The girls all had a blast in this beautiful, secure environment. They loved visiting with the horses and exploring the spacious, well-kept property. The hosts are friendly, helpful, and responsive and add to the experience.

We LOVE camping at Coyote Ridge!! The views are spectacular and the hiking/exploring is a blast! Not to mention the friendly horses that come up to your camp! We hid Easter Eggs this year through the woods which led my daughter to her Easter Basket… She thought it was so much fun hunting for her eggs in the woods. The hosts are some of the friendliest folks you’ll ever meet!!
