The forest campsites were ok. The issue is I was looking for a more quiet place. I go camping to relax and soak in nature. I went to bed late and there were lots of dogs barking, barking up a storm. So my sleep was affected by that. I did not know I would need earplugs or I would of brought some... was still overall a peaceful experience. And I made the most of it regardless of the poor sleep. The restrooms and showers were very nice. Lots of people at the river. Nice peace of land they got..
We had a fantastic experience! Booked last minute after something fell through and we had an amazing first camping trip! We'll be back again!
Loved the river access! The campsite was somewhat secluded from others though we were able to hear the families staying in the cabins. We also heard donkeys in the middle of the night! That made for a good laugh. If you’re planning to do any significant food prep and cooking, bring a small table for the campsite, as there’s no picnic table.
One more bathroom on the property seems like a good idea for the number of sites available, but it didn’t impact my stay at all.
Would stay again.
The water was so clear and the canyon was beautiful
Beautiful property and a fabulous weekend!
Awesome campground on the Medina River. Forest site 1 is right off the parking lot but still felt very private. The only thing missing for the camp site was a picnic table, only notable because they were present at the river campsites. The river and surrounding area are beautiful even though the river is pretty low this time of year. Angela was a great host and was very responsive to any questions we had.

Dylan, thank you for your review! So glad you enjoyed your stay and got to spend time at the beautiful river! Hoping to add a picnic table to the spot soon! Thanks for the idea! Hope to host you again!
The location was fantastic! The water was perfect and the views were gorgeous! The only complaint I had was that the campsites were very close to each other so we were close to a family with kids and we were a group of adults. The noise does echo off the canyon wall and it was a little hard to talk low once sun went down! Wish we had more space and some privacy. Bathroom was clean! We will definitely be going back in the future!!

Stephanie, thank you for staying with us! So glad you got to enjoy the beautiful river!! We will see how we can expand each site! Hope to have you back again!
My family enjoyed the limited access to the site. It felt private and the other campers in the area kept to themselves it was a great experience. We will be back!!

Jonathan, so glad you enjoyed the first campsite! Looking forward to hosting you again!
We had a wonderful time camping in Forest Site 1! The trees offered privacy as well as protection from the windy/rainy cold front that blew in overnight. It was nice being close to the bath house and it is only a quick walk to the river. Our family went paddle boarding and explored the river even with the chilly weather. The water is super clear and the bluffs make for a breathtaking river experience. Will definitely do a return trip and look forward to trying out a river campsite when it’s a little warmer.

Amber, thank you so much for staying with us! It was a pleasure to have y’all out! Looking forward to hosting yall when it’s warmer!
