Perfect spot to primitive camp! The host was quick to respond when I had questions before booking. We loved the privacy of the shelter and views of mountains. Close to Terlingua, and Big Bend National Park. Loved our stay!

This was a great place. Exactly what it looks like. The shelter was good protection from the wind and our host was super communicative about the potentially bad weather. It all ended up just fine.

This was our first time camping in Texas and it did not disappoint. The sites and remoteness were incredible and we had a wonderful time exploring Big Bend. The campsite was great and could not have picked a better spot. We arrived the first night to high winds and were immediately grateful for the sturdy structure that helped protect our tent. The second night we had infrequent showers and we were again thankful for our camp choice. The third night we arrived back to camp to find our lighter would not work- we quickly hopped in the car and drove to the nearby (well-stocked) general store.
I will agree with the other comments that the camp was a little hard to find in the dark. But nothing a pre-downloaded/printed map couldn’t find.
Also, wifi in study butte (10 miles down the road) was an awesome and unexpected bonus.

I loved my stay at Sky Ranch. The directions provided were spot on and I had no issue finding it (even at night).

The shelter provided a great wind block and kept everything off the ground (less dusty). Nights were quiet and the stars were spectacular.

Easy drive into Big Bend would recommend if you’re looking for something different and not a packed campground.
