Great place to relax, very quiet and peaceful
A great getaway for our popup-trailer camping family of 4.
We Appreciated the covered parking area, steady power and multiple water sources. Wifi was a plus but cell signal was pretty strong with TMobile. Lovely pricker free grass area and the lit fishing dock was great! NOT only will we be back, we've already told our camping friends.
Just to be aware not any fault of Mark & his amazing Hipcamp. . .
The beach is highly dependant on tide
Mosquitos are what they are but Thermacell and the stiff breeze kept them at bay.
Seems like all the water in the area, including ice (tho potable) - is on the salty side.
Make sure you've got a good filter on your rig or bring bottled for consumption.
Other things to note...
Joe's bait shop just at the base of the bridge has the BEST ice. Nice Cubes deffinatly longer lasting & like others have mentioned when the black flag is up, there is live bait. Tipps bait is super close by too and their sign said they have ice, but were out when we went by.
2miles down the road is Sargent Shores RV park also has a Twice the ice machine & Filtered water that's self service and open 24hrs. Bring quarters.
We had a Wonderful trip. It was hot when the breeze died down, but its June in Texas. Overall 5/5

This place was such a nice break from life. It's quiet and easy, and if your rig is well stocked this place is perfectly turn key.
Excellent place to take a vacation, the facility was perfect for the RV and the fishing was spot on. Will be returning soon and suggest if anyone is looking for a relaxing spot, this is the one to go to.
We just moved down from Oklahoma and have been in Texas for about 6 months. We have been avid campers for over 20 years and had a permanent camp spot on a lake in Oklahoma when we left. We have been looking for some new and fun places to camp in Texas. This was our first experience booking through Hipcamp, my insurance guy recommended Hipcamp and Sargent Island Fish and Beach camp specifically, he and his family have camped here several times. We LOVED it!!! It was my husband, our 2 dogs and I. We will definitely be back! We walked to the beach several times during our stay, it was a short easy walk across the road. We really enjoyed watching all the different barges and boaters going through the canal. One morning we saw a dolphin swimming by, that was really neat! Thank you Mark for sharing your little piece of heaven with us and giving us the extra night!
This place is always relaxing and easy to stay.
Very cool spot to stay. Loved the lights that were hung up when it got dark. Not too far from the beach access. The dock was nice as well. We will be coming back!
We really enjoyed our weekend stay at Mark’s. We had so much fun fishing and crabbing on the dock. The landscape and pavilion are very well kept. We will certainly be back!

Thank you for staying at our site. Hope for y’all to come back soon. Best regards Mark
