The ranch is great and accommodating for that primitive camping some like to do. Small hike into the grounds, with other sites further away. The people running the grounds are awesome and always up to a fun event or a ceremony that guest are welcome to join in on. Fun, clean, and great vibes.

Instructions for how to find the campsites were insufficient. I had to ask the other people living on the property where to go and they seemed a little annoyed about having to get involved. Never met the host. Campsite was nice though.

Fox RedSky is an amazing host! Loved the natal chart reading—it was totally spot on. The space is as social as you want to make it. I enjoyed meeting the hosts, but still was able to hike and do my own thing. The cemetery is a short walk away and is beautiful. It was raining when I went, so I can’t wait to come back with better weather!

Place was hard to find but once we were on site, it was really relaxing. Now that we know how to get there, I would stay again. Just be prepared that there seemed to be a lot of people that stay there, but they are far away enough from the sites.

Hard to know what to expect! So let me give you the perspective of someone who went in with no expectations other than to sleep in a tent outside...

The property was a little difficult to find, because the listing says something about there being a Rockstar RedSky Ranch sign. There is no sign. Rather, I had to use the address I found from one of their events on Facebook, and once I found the address, it was not the typical “campsite” entrance. When you pull onto the property, you enter in a communal living area with 3 structures: a travel trailer, and two houses. The property is shared by a diverse group of people, and the back end of the property is where the campsites are located.
The campsite has an outhouse, a spicket for fresh water, and a few fire pits, and anything you might be missing, the hosts are happy to help. I can’t say enough good things about all the people in the community! So kind, so accommodating, and very, very welcoming.

You can take a short 10-15 minute walk/hike around the property where you’ll find a dried creek bed and a cemetery. It’s short, sweet and to the point. There’s a few parks and water nearby, but not on the property itself.

We attended a communal drum circle they hosted in the community, and it was AWESOME. There were 20-30 drums (Lobo had more in his room, he said) and everyone had a blast beating the drums and dancing around the large campfire. Later that night, the sky cleared and I haven’t seen stars that bright in a LONG time.

I forgot to mention earlier, we stayed Friday and Saturday night, and on Saturday morning, Sarah woke us with fresh, delicious, juice. 100% worth the $9.

My family and I had an amazing weekend. We got some much-needed outdoor time, connected with other campers and the hosts (and their amazing kids), unplugged, and even got to try a few new things. I would absolutely recommend!

Nice welcoming and appreciated “live and let live” vibe. Just disappointed with listed amenity of shower—outdoor was fine but you couldn’t bathe naked and no warm water. Also, outhouse was dirty and ran out of essential TP and couldn’t secure door. Stepped in dog poop at night several times with dogs roaming and property dog peed on out tent. Just a pain, but other than that, good people and close proximity to Austin.
