Family camping fun!
We loved the living goddess yurt! Our family had such a nice time relaxing in nature and our host was fantastic! She was extremely accommodating and we were so happy we ordered the dinner there! Thank you so much and we would love to come back!
A great little get pack in pack out location. Off grid of sorts and just as to be expected with primitive type camping. There was a large cart to use for bringing your gear. Bed was super comfy. It’s Texas so bring the necessities to prepare for the weather and bugs. We appreciated the citronella candle and mosquito wipes that were at the site when we arrived. If you have a keep it simple and open mind outlook, you will enjoy your time. If you go craving the creature comforts of home like hot showers, this one may not be for you. It was nice the be able to just breath and unwind.
Perfect for getting semi off grid. The yurt is really nice, the 🌮 tacos are AMAZING get them! The free roam dogs are sweet as can be and came to visit us two or three times. Like any camping experience, the more you can be self sufficient the better off you are. We brought some string lights and some battery operated spot lights and light up the trail from the fire pit to the camp site but by the time the almost full moon came up we didn’t need them.
2 things that made this amazing... the bed is comfortable! And the French press coffee in the morning after a chilly night 100% next time we go I’d love to be able to experience the drum circle .
Overall, the site was very nice and we made our own fire! However, communication with the host was not clear.
Note: I was in contact with the host before the reservation and the host messaged me the day of to cancel/reschedule!
I was not happy with this because we had everything prepared already the day before. The communication over messaging was not clear so I wasn't even sure if we still had a booking and the number provided did not work.
Thankfully, the host answered way later and she set up a new site for us because she overbooked...Even though we booked in advance for a specific one. All in all, we made it work and had a great experience.
We had a great time with our daughter at mushroom camp! The hosts were super nice and friendly and welcoming, the woods are super pretty and looked gorgeous, and the little dry creek was super fun to follow! Will definitely be back!
