The Dam Campground is about 80 feet by 250 feet and overlooks Godstone Lake to the West and a forested valley with Crappie Pond to the East. It is designed for group camping for large families or a group of camping friends with multiple tents and/or RV units. Up to 10 tents/small RV's can be parked on the campground. The comfort station with toilets and showers is a short walk to the upper trail where the private tent and RV sites are located. There are two fire pits, a large cedar picnic table, a small shelter with charcoal grill, and a large tall protective wind cover to the North. The campground is accessible by a hilly gravel road. Light campers or RV's can access the dam over the spillway if they are pulled by heavy duty vehicles. A porta-potty is available at the campground as well as a lower picnic area and fire pit shaded by the forest. A new Crappie pond was built below the dam in October 2020. Fishing from the large rocks at the dam is excellent and there are a number of openings around the lake to fish from. There are two water risers and two power boxes provided at the campsite. Cell phone service is spotty but we are installing wifi in the spring. With five miles of mountain bike and hike trails plus another five miles of all-weather gravel roads on our 188 acre ranch, there are lots of wildlife and vegetation viewing opportunities. The first RV or tent is $125.00 per night and each additional RV or tent is $50.00 per night additional. We don't charge by the person. Each RV or tent is a unit and considered a guest for booking purposes.

If you stayed here and have some insider info for us, let us know!
James, our host, was great. He communicated with us before and during our stay. He met us at the gate and gave us a tour so we knew where everything was. The campsite had beautiful views, plenty of firewood, and fishing steps away. Our kids loved it and we will visit again.
Stunning views and more!
The Top of Dam Campground was better than expected! There was SO MUCH to explore on the 180 acre site and the entire place was beautiful. From the sunrise reflecting across the freshly stocked crappie pond in the morning, to magnificent sunsets disappearing into the 4-acre lake on the other, this site was exceptional. Jim, the owner/host was incredibly kind and is turning his place into a wonderland for campers of all types who want to get away from the busyness of a typical RV park/campsite and commune with nature. We saw deer, caught fish and enjoyed a chorus of coyote howls at night. If you are looking for a great place to get away and enjoy all that nature has to offer we would highly recommend this place. Thanks again Jim for letting us enjoy your place. We will be back! :)
Beautiful ranch and great campsite
We stayed for two nights in a cold weekend in December. We had the whole place to ourselves, and had an awesome time exploring the ranch and sitting by the fire. On a clear night, the stars are amazing!!! Our favorite part was the huge fire pits that gave us space to cook chili and cornbread over the coals while still having a fire to keep warm. Jim was super welcoming and nice enough to give us a tour when we arrived. We also loved that he talked about all the wildlife on the ranch and showed us the blinds for wildlife watching. We’ll definitely be going back.
Best host and peaceful!
We lucked out with this find big time!
First James was the nicest and honestly one of the best hosts I’ve ever had the pleasure of meeting! He was very warm and welcoming! When we first arrived he gave us a detailed tour of his property. Then the best news! We could PICK any where to stay! Because they were at the end of construction of their new additions to the property! It was such a peaceful relaxing experience! There is way to many great details you’ve just got to go and check it out yourself! Can’t wait to go back!!
