Welcome to our unique property that offers a great view of the Blanco River with over 150’ of riverfront access! You are welcome to sit in the river with an ice-cold beer or float out in tubes and hang out. This is a great drop-in spot for floating the river down to the San Marcos connection point which is a 5-6 hour float, with various spots to get out earlier if desired. Downtown San Marcos is only 5 minutes away from this site. Downtown Austin is only a 25-minute drive and San Antonio is only a 45-minute drive. The Colorado River is only 20 minutes and you can access San Marcos float rentals only 8 minutes away if you’d like to plan ahead for your river adventures. We hope you'll enjoy the wonderful, unique ambiance of our place. The site features a park grill, fire pit, and a picnic table which will make it easy for you to enjoy this site with your family and friends. The fire pit and camp area also has great access to shade. The site is 1.5 acres in total and we only host one group at a time so your family will have complete privacy and access.  Other Things to Notes: Our property does have cell reception but there is no wifi so please plan ahead. Make sure to get directions ahead of time and reach out to us if you have any concerns. There is no access to potable water so you must BYO for the duration of your stay. There is also no toilet option so please BYO camp toilet or plan to use wag bags to leave no trace and pack out any trash or waste that you bring to the site. We are located very close to some stores and amenities so you can always make a quick trip to town!

      Private, quiet and secure site.
      Second visit here. Very beautiful and quiet retreat. Plenty of space to set up for multiple tents. If you are looking for a private and secure (total site fenced with locked gate) place to relax, this is it! Very friendly hosts that respect your privacy, but will help out if you need it.

      This property is lovingly maintained, and the couple was really communicative. There are tables and chairs and a fire pit. Everything was set up well. I think I was just looking to get out in nature and kayak so I was just looking for a different experience. There's a lot of city noise 24/7: sirens, squealing tires, the constant hum of I-35. And the ad doesn't reflect the drought. The water levels were so low on the Blanco that I could only go about 1/4 mile in the kayak before I had to stop and walk. I kept stopping to walk the kayak again and again, and I kept hoping it would get deeper but it didn't. There are lots of filmy spots with algae all the way up and down the river. I went in both directions. I think if you're just looking to hang out by the water and drink- this is for you. If you're looking for a campsite where you can do water activities from the campsite and just be in nature- I wouldn't recommend this spot. I think the ad should be updated to reflect the low water levels or people should be notified before booking.

      As advertised!
      We had a great, time despite some unlucky weather. Campsite is really well stocked - really appreciated the trash can and trash bags in particular. Beautiful private river, fire pit, etc. Great for friends, kids, and dogs. Would love to come back!
