Such an excellent gem right outside Glen Rose. Paul was an amazing host and had everything we needed for a great night of camping. There are two sites along the river, separated by some trees and brush making each feel adequately private. Close enough to the road to hear cars going by, but there was very little traffic during our stay. Well worth it to wake up to peaceful riverside views. Great spot for wading and swimming, with a rock shelf leading into the river. Thanks for sharing, Paul!

Wa a great to be on the Paluxy river, w e caught two fish which was exciting and took our kayak out as well. The place is great for kids as Paul has setup a little jungle gym and it’s literally on the river. The only downside is the street noise at night- kept most of us awake and didn’t stop until almost morning..if it weren’t for that then it would have been perfect.

What a great find, This place was perfect for a weekend getaway from DFW. We stayed at site 2, area was level, property was great. Paul was easy to contact. Only cons are you can hear the road, but not much traffic at night and once the Bullfrogs get started they drown it out. Also water access at site 2 is difficult, but looks to be a work in progress. From the looks of site 1 it will be great when done.

Great views and access to kayak rental was convenient and worth it for the breathtaking paddling the paluxy river in the morning. Fast response time from host. Felt somewhat primative and somewhat quiet (Sunday night little league baseball went late across the street). Clean campsite, no facilities.

Honored to be one of the first to stay here. Excellent host and what a gorgeous property! Ours boys had a magical and wonderful time on the river this weekend. Make sure to build a fire and see the fun details of the rock garden under the start sky! Campsite had everything we could ask for and just perfect for a weekend getaway with the family. Close to all the hot spots of downtown Glen Rose as well (but we stayed at camp, so much to do)! Thanks, Paul! Good luck with Hipcamp!
