Dog friendly
If you like to stay alone with the stars to blanket you, then this is your place. We did get greeted by a few very nice dogs. They did come and wake us up this morning, but my husband told them to go away, they left and then greeted us while.we were leaving. We boondocked our truck camper and had a great time. Dogs were able to stretch them legs!!

Great overnight stay!
I had a great overnight here. I didn’t meet the German Shepherd like I was hoping to, but that’s okay. Chris is a very friendly and welcoming host, so I’ll most likely be coming back. The sound of cars wasn’t as bad as others have said, and the dogs only barked every once in a while. There are two Great Pyrenees along the road but they never entered the land or messed with me. They don’t like driving cars, but aren’t aggressive towards people at all, so no worries there. Having firepits, wood, and a porta john onsite was beneficial. 10/10 would recommend.

Too close to a major highway
The site was okay, but highway 6 is pretty close and you can very clearly hear cars on the highway over the sounds of nature. It made it feel like I was camping in my backyard in the city rather than 2 hours outside of Austin.

Great place to camp
We liked how secluded the place was. It was nice and peaceful the entire trip without any interruption. The owner was helpful with his directions and let us check in late. Unfortunately we aren't dog people, and didn't like the six huge dogs surrounding us the entire time. But if you are dog people this place is for you!

Stop looking and go here!
My girlfriend and I camped here for 2 nights and loved every second of it! We made the decision to camp a little last minute and upon booking our stay, Chris had promptly messaged and told us everything we needed to know about our stay. We arrived after dark so it was a little hard finding our site but that was totally on our poor planning and nothing on Chris’s end. We had pulled up to our site and once we got out of our truck, we were greeted by the real star of the show… the friendliest German Shepard who stays there and guards the land. He made our experience that much better and we were so attached by the time we left! He stayed at our site the entire time and to say we enjoyed his company is a complete understatement. He definitely made us feel safe and welcome. There is a pack of Great Pyrenees dogs that live on the next lot over and one was very friendly and made his way over to us twice throughout our stay. We are pretty avid Hipcamp users and like to try a new place everytime we camp but I think this one will draw us back each time we decide to camp. All in all, we can’t recommend this site enough and Chris is a great host! If you decide to make this your next getaway, make sure to bring your soon to be best furry friend a little treat, he deserves it!

Great spot to put up a tent! The owner of the campsite has his puppy roam around which was awesome. The puppy not only made us feel welcomed but we also felt protected! We will definitely be back!
