The place is very private with a creek flowing. The kids enjoyed kayaking in the creek. There is a little treehouse you can climb. The creek is the highlight of this place. We saw cows crossing the creek to a new pastures. Saw a snake. Kids found molted snake skin. They were very excited.

We didn’t get to use the pizza oven or the tub. We were supposed to get the stuff for fire from Kelly, but we couldn’t reach him. The kids were getting hungry, so we left around 8 pm ish.

Girlfriend and I embarked on this wonderful 2 day breath of fresh air! So secluded with nothing but rain falling on our tent and the crickets chirping. Owners are amazing and very helpful. The little boy brought us our firewood which was amazing. Since all wood we had got soaked from the rain. The property is very beautiful deer everywhere. The creek is very backwoods and that’s what I loved most about it! A little bit tricky getting in soaking wet and muddy but that is what makes the stories. We will definitely be back with the kids. P.s pups loved the freedom.

Wife & I plus our 2 dogs really enjoyed this campsite. It was secluded and perfect for a quick Houston getaway. We found a swimming hole upstream and spent the day there. The hosts were accommodating but left us alone for the most part, which we appreciated. They were a text away if anything was needed.

We really appreciated the campsite. However, I will mention one con. At 4-5 am Sunday morning I believe the neighboring land owner ran his tractor or some sort of machinery. I would believe in order to tend his land since it carried on into the distance. It was extremely loud and made for a less than pleasant early-morning lazy wake-up. A farmer's gonna farm tho and we do not blame the hosts.

I think they loved it. Perfect way to kill some timeLocal came to say goodbye as we were packing up. Plenty of shade and trees for a hammock and a nap.

Matt has created a serendipitous campong destination. This spot is perfect if you love secluded spots, tent camping and some bonus amenities. The owners have thoughtfully put their heart into to this little spot on their beautiful family farm.
Here are my favorite moments in a few words: cows, birds, creek, Spartans, campfire, stary sky, tank.

Matt was a fantastic host in the past, unfortunately we were unable to camp this time due to weather. We do look forward to our next trip.

Our stay at Matt's was wonderful! From the beautiful land around the site to the thoughtful and fun amenities in the site itself, we absolutely recommend checking it out. Matt was a great, friendly host who was really helpful and hospitable.

We also enjoyed getting to buy firewood, fresh eggs, and some garden-grown vegetables from his two sons! All around, a great place to post up for a night (or a week!)

We absolutely loved this private and well thought out camp site! Matt and his crew were helpful and available throughout our entire stay. The pizza oven is under a large covered area that was ideal to store our things during the night so that they didn’t get wet during the rain storms. The location is shaded and set on a hill, so even with the heavy rain during the night, the land dried quickly and wasn’t a big wet mess. The large stones set strategically around the fire provided extra seating and table space. It really was the ideal, private spot!
