This was an amazing place to stay, so much to see. We stayed in our RV by the creek and loved the view and walking around looking for rocks and things. We sifted through dirt looking for arrowheads and were lucky enough to find one full one and a tip to another. Haven’t played in the dirt like that since I was a kid. The night sky was so amazing out here as well. I wish we brought our telescope. I can’t say enough good things about the place and people here. We had a little trouble with the landing gear on our RV and they happily helped us get it to a point we could load up on our last day. We will definitely be back and will bring our nephews. Was amazed at how many people sifting for artifacts had been here multiple times, you won’t be disappointed

My boys and I had an amazing time on Maggi’s ranch! Such a beautiful and special piece of property! Definitely will visit again and have already been telling everyone I know about it. My boys have a blast exploring and meeting all the animals.

Maggi's land is a wonderful place and my family and I can't wait to return!

Maggi was a terrific host! We were coming in from Austin during some heavy rain. When we left Llano for the last 20 minutes of the drive, we discovered the roads were closed due to flooding. I texted Maggi and she immediately called me and helped me with alternate directions (Hwy 16 into Fredericksburg, turn right on Main, turn North on Hwy 67 and then take 2323 about 6 miles north of town).

We got in much later than we expected - around 9:30 - but they were there to greet us and show us to our site. It was a lovely site under some very old pecan trees.

We spent the next 2 days exploring the ranch, feeding the horses, shooting BB guns and digging for Native American artifacts. None of us had ever worked at a dig site before and it was more fun than I ever imagined. We found multiple pieces of Native American tools and arrowheads. The kids loved watching their parents 'play in the dirt'.

We pulled a 22' Airstream and had no trouble getting in or out.

This was our first time using Hipcamp and we're so glad we found Maggi's land. It is Hill Country beauty at its finest. We will definitely return to continue exploring and enjoying the hospitality!.

This place was great! Private, quiet and wonderful stargazing. We collected tons of quartz and our dog had a blast. Rose to horses in the ealry morning and peaceful birds chirping in the trees. Lots of space to hike and explore. We will definitely be back!

We greatly enjoyed our adventure on a cooler weekend in March. Highly recommend if you want to get some hill country hiking and gorgeous views on your way to the pond. The kick ass campfires and star-gazing was just what we needed. We will definitely be back.

Views, terrain, sunsets, animals, stars. This place has got it all. Maggi was amazing. I'll be coming back for sure. Great place for any size group. Great place for families. Great place for camping solo. Doesn't matter which campsite you choose, Maggi will let you camp pretty much whatever you want, and there's a lot of amazing options.

We absolutely LOVED our stay at Wendelful Life Ranch. We were in a secluded area of Elm Grove where there was lots of distance from other campers. Maggi checked in on us to make sure that everything was going well and that we had everything we needed. I absolutely loved seeing the wild horses, cows, and pigs that were on the property! There was also a great plateau to bike up to (or drive if you have 4WD) that gave a beautiful view. We also loved walking up and down the creek bed looking at the beautiful rocks!

Loved feeding the wild horses apples!Overlook on the Wendelful Life RanchOur campsite was secluded and had a great view of the creek. It's a Wendelful Life Ranch
