The hike-in sites are for adventurers only. They are located on about 45 acres of raw land across the street from the main camp. There is about a 1\2 mile hike into the camping area, with substantial and very quick elevation gains. There are no amenities at this location. All refuse should be packed out. Check-in must be done before dark, as the trails are unsafe and easily lost in the darkness. Situated 5 miles east of the Big Bend Ranch state park, there is easy access to Terlingua, Lajitas, Big Bend National, and State parks. The mountain range directly north of the property was home to the very first silver, copper, lead, and quicksilver mines in the region. It's population exceeding that of the Chisos mines in Terlingua by some 2,000. **This property is currently privately held with no access to the general public.** The cliff at the east edge of the property gives boundary to Comanche Creek. A passage used by the nomadic tribe as they would move into Mexico in search of game. Views of different mountain ranges are in every direction. The views from the top are breathtaking! Come enjoy our space with us! Watch the dessert critters, marvel at the geological diversity, or kick back and do some stargazing with the ocotillo as a backdrop!

It was an awesome experience, lovely place to camp with amazing sights, plenty of privacy, and Charlie the Dog was pretty awesome. We loved it, and anyone coming to camp at big bend would be lucky to camp out here.

On arriving and meeting Brandon he was very nice. He showed us where we would be camping at and then took us up there. Trail to get to the camp site was awesome wheeling that we were not expecting. The views from our camp site were breathtaking and the sunrise and sun sets were beautiful

Brandon and Lynn were just the best hosts for our weekend tent camping trip. Their campgrounds were easy to find and provided spectacular views in every direction. Their land is expansive enough for short hikes on property, and is also near actual trails and the two Big Bend Parks. Going in the winter time, they had plenty of firewood for purchase on site to keep warm, just be mindful of the wind. Having an outhouse with running water was a nice touch as well. Their two dogs, Honey and Bug, were both friendly and playful towards my own pup, which is always a plus. Also, don't sleep on Brandon's brisket or pork shoulder for sale on-site. Some of the best I've had. It kept us well fed after being and about each day. We hope to stay at their campgrounds again sometime soon.

    Thanks Brandon and Lynn!
