Situated 5 miles east of the Big Bend Ranch state park, there is easy access to Terlingua, Lajitas, Big Bend National, and State parks. The mountain range directly north of the property was home to the very first silver, copper, lead, and quicksilver mines in the region. It's population exceeding that of the Chisos mines in Terlingua by some 2,000. **This property is currently privately held with no access to the general public.** The cliff at the east edge of the property gives boundary to Comanche Creek. A passage used by the nomadic tribe as they would move into Mexico in search of game. The campsites are along a loop road, and can be accessed by vehicle. Each has a small fire pit. Views of different mountain ranges are in every direction. Short warm up hikes can be enjoyed on the mesa across the road. The views from the top are breathtaking!Come enjoy our space with us! Watch the dessert critters, marvel at the geological diversity, or kick back and do some stargazing with the ocotillo as a backdrop!

Great site! We stayed a few days and had a great time. The sites are clean and there is a nice view of the canyon. Great for sunrises and stargazing. Host was friendly. They have an actual toilet and sink, which was difficult to find for a good price.

Place was quiet like we wanted. Undisturbed views of the stars. Close to Big Bend. Clean toilet. Easy to book.
Everything we wanted for a simple weekend trip to the national park. If we come back to the area we would stay again

The campsite was very well maintained with fire pits and some communal picnic areas. There is only one toliet and sink but it was very nice and clean. Just be prepared for wind.

Myself and my friends absolutely loved this campsite!! We were tent camping and it suited our needs perfectly, it was quiet and the view of the stars was insane. the bathroom was just a short walk away and the hosts were incredibly nice, the site was about 20ish minutes away from the Study Butte entrance to Big Bend. I will definitely be returning to this place! I miss it already!

This place was amazing! Super close to the park and honestly way better than staying in the park privacy and relaxation wise!

Great place to camp. Very scenic and quiet. Well maintained. Very close to Terlingua. Brandon is a super nice guy that is willing to help in any way. Not terribly far from Big Bend NP. I highly recommend this place. I’ll certainly be back.
