Had a great stay at this camping spot. ALL of the camping spots (I walked around) look spectacular; some are closer to the river. Speaking of the river, what magnificence! Was my first stop upon entering. There were baby goats and chickens on the property - goats were adorable. Logan was really kind and welcoming as well. Would highly recommend
Camping under the stars
Logan’s spot is great. It’s the perfect for a night under the stars with a telescope. Beyond that, Logan is great. They let me hold a baby goat which was an added bonus! If it wasn’t for the 102deg heat, I’d have gladly stayed another night
Good for the soul
I greatly enjoyed my time camping at Low Gear Farmstead. Logan is an exceptional host, very accommodating. I was able to relax and connect with nature during my time. I will definitely stay again and recommend Logan’s land to everyone.
Perfect spot for large groups!
Excellent experience overall camping for two nights. The stargazer site had plenty of space to accommodate a large group like mine. Logan was responsive when we asked questions over text and flexible about where exactly we could camp relative to our designated site.
Activities at the property were plentiful. Short hikes, a river to wade and canoe in, and plenty of farm animals to watch helped pass the time during the day. As for the light show at night, I believe our conditions were optimal: a massive clear sky and a new moon. We were able to see hundreds, if not thousands, of stars spanning as far as we could see.The milky way was apparent, but not quite as distinct and colorful as you might find online. However, for not being an International Dark Sky recognized area, and the sheer luck of scheduling a month in advance and getting a completely clear sky one out of the two nights we reserved, I am extremely happy with my time spent stargazing here.
