Within a 30-minute drive from Dallas and an hour from Ft. Worth, you can enjoy the simple pleasures of life at the secluded hobby farm, Pollinator Pond. Perched on the side of a bluff, this beautiful property offers an 8 acre sanctuary and escape from the everyday hustle of city life. Pollinator Pond’s tent camping sites are set in an idyllic landscape with fire pits (wood provided), grill, picnic table, twinkling lights, and stunning views, perfect for couples, families and small groups.
Bursting with nature’s bounty, you’ll enjoy the pond’s resident geese and ducks, and host Lee’s Cocker Spaniels Rylee and Lola Bear, who love to greet visitors with their dad. Relax and unwind, let your bare feet touch the ground of this ever-changing natural setting. The pond is host to many a frog resting upon its lily pads, and the property is surrounded by beautiful trees, butterflies and wildflowers.
Bring your yoga mat and practice on the banks of the pond. The sound of falling water will wash away your cares. You might even discover a favorite new place to meditate. You can enjoy the water from a paddle boat or kayak, available for just $10 for the length of your stay. Children of all ages love to try their luck at catching and releasing the pond’s Crappie and Catfish. You can also enjoy your catch for dinner for a small fee.
Lee will be delighted to give his Honey Bee Banter Tour and teach you about the bees, the different plants, flowers and trees he’s planted to support them, their hive life, and the process of making honey. You might find yourself sitting in the white Dutch Clover patch, forgetting about the world as you observe the bees foraging, listening deeply to their happy buzzing in surround sound. You’re in luck if there’s enough honey for a tasting, and perhaps a jar to take home!
After an unforgettable sunset, nightfall inspires a lovely serenade by the pond’s frogs and crickets. A crackling fire and contemplation of the starry sky are all that’s needed to complete the restoration of your spirit on this visit to Pollinator Pond.
More about Pollinator Pond Lee’s dream is to create a hobby farm where guests can enjoy the many fruits and vegetables produced by the farm’s food forest while in season. Currently, the farm’s honey and eggs can be purchased, when available. As the farm grows, guests will be invited to pick and enjoy the produce on the farm.
Additional offerings may include discovery tours to invite a deeper understanding of the unique and sensitive ecosystem of the pond and its surrounding area. Educational classes & workshops including WWOOF Work/Recreational opportunities may also be possible as the farm grows.
It is Lee’s goal to foster a restorative setting that invites self-care groups seeking a supportive environment for mental health, yoga and meditation, and other healing retreats.

Lee was a warm and welcoming host. He was very hospitable and flexible with scheduling. His campsite is beautiful and very relaxing. My friends and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Pollinator Pond. I would definitely recommend.
What an awesome awesome place! Beautiful sunset, perfect layout, and wonderful place for good memories made. We got to chat with the owner, Lee for a while. He is so passionate about his work there! Can't wait to go back!
We really enjoyed the host and our time here with family. The host are very catering to any needs you may have which made this stay worth wild. We enjoyed all the trees and scenery here including the pond.
Lee^s place was great! Really beautiful! Our camping spot was perfect! Lee is a wonderful host! The pond was beautiful as were all of the wild flowers! I plan on returning again next time I'm in Waxahachie!

The spot was idyllic, with string lights and a fire pit and a great spot for tent camping. The pond was lovely and the evening was beautiful.
Our host Lee was fantastic and accommodating (he even brought us fresh duck eggs!) and very helpful and friendly. He went above and beyond to make sure our stay was pleasant and when we got our car stuck (a surprise heavy amount of rain the night before + city car with no rear wheel drive) he hopped into the driver seat, maneuvered it to a good spot, and then used his truck to tow us out. Truly outside his range of duties and we couldn’t be more grateful.
Overall, would recommend to anyone wanting a chill camping spot with a nice evening view and a great host. Would definitely camp here again.

small property, in middle of township, very noisy at night.
People mowing lawn all day and water motor running.
does not give feel that we are outside city life.
House is right in front, and campers have no restrooms.. it is just weired feeling, at least make proper compostable toilet
Great spot for a little get away for the weekend. Not too far from DFW and close enough to waxahachie if you’re like us and forget important items like food for dinner. You will hear all the wildlife around and gun range close enough to hear the shots, but it wasn’t very loud. We didn’t make it back over to Maypearl but there was a little brewery and BBQ joint off the main drag that looked like fun.
Overall great experience
